Just a little advice for when you dye your hair the next time : combing your hair with a wide tooth comb or brush before and after you apply the color to the hair helps a LOT to not miss any spots 👌🏻😌 If I wouldn't do that my hair would probably always be patchy af 🤣🤣 And your hair came out great 💗 the color suits you really good and I like how it washed out aswell

Despite the company's stated mission of inclusivity, the makeup influencer/ owner of AF, Kristen Leanna's former employees said that her leadership style was toxic and she used homophobic language. Staffwide disagreements with Leanne over how to address the Black Lives Matter movement were followed by Arctic Fox employees being asked to return to their California office in June, despite the pandemic. After the staff's refusal to return, Leanne quietly conducted layoffs, and eight of the 15 people in one Arctic Fox office were terminated. Two others quit. So basically people didn't want to give money to her/her company as despite the fact that online she has given off this aura of being all loving, kind and against hate she was infact toxic to her employees, used homophobic language and didn't want to show support for the BLM movement within the company despite the fact that they employed several black people. I think the reason she left was because so many people were boycotting the company after all this info on her being an awful person to her staff came out. The company must have seen a dip in sales for sure because I have definitely seen many influencers who used to rave about arctic fox, distance themselves from the company and say that they no longer buy from them in the past year or so. I am glad that she's no longer part of the company as I really wanted to try Arctic Fox but it was never available in the UK and then when it was all this stuff came out about her being a not so nice person and then I felt i couldn't buy from them as it would be supporting her and her actions.

@@2shadowcats2 I am sorry but that's not the nicest way of thinking about other people. You don't care that she abused the people she employed and literally made them risk their lives coming into the office during the height of the pandemic (when it was against the law to leave their houses for non-emergencies/essentials) just because they make your hair look nice? Part of the main selling point of Arctic Fox's brand was that it was cruelty free, that includes people as well as animals. She may not have been cruel to animals but she was definitely cruel to people. Personally i wouldn't want to give money to a person who runs her company in that way as that means the behaviour would've continued and those people that worked for her, that financially depended on her would've had to continue working in the toxic environment she created. It is a very common thing for people to stop using a brand when it is found out that the owner is not a nice person i.e. Jeffree Star Cosmetics, Kat Von D beauty etc. People do not want to line the pockets of awful people. If you want to do that then fair enough it is 100% up to you, myself and others feel it is not right to do so.

"How do I know if I've gotten all the little pieces?" - babe you gotta section! I get away with 4 bc I don't have a lot of hair, but you might need to split quadrants up into sections too lol. But great job combing it through! You can always use a finer-toothed comb too, especially if you're scared you're missing spots. Your hair looks adorable! Ellie I think you are just the cutest. I love your crises (#relatable), and also the animal-whisperer thing-- same. AND with collecting dead bugs? I have bugs that I stick on people for photos (not just a vet tech, but a pHoTogRaPhEr too)

I always find using a wide tooth comb useful for ensuring that you have fully covered your hair with hair color.

using your hands for the lengths isn't bad, especially with hair color like Arctic Fox, but having a brush for roots really helps. maybe try it some time. and please use a brush for bleach, it's so much easier.

I went to cosmetology and whenever we dyed hair just one color we would use our hands. No brush necessary when you're dying just 1 color. It's easier to rub everything in your hair then use a comb to comb the dye through.
