I am a 50+ musician and I wish I could have such a great mix man in all of my bands💙

Excellent video of the fundamentals. I still get that wow factor from my a12’s even after a year of use.

talking about wearing one ear and losing the hearing protection but there is another aspect of hearing protection the perceived level drops by I believe 3DB when one ear is removed thus requiring an increase in volume which is actually not good for what your remaining ear is hearing.

Premixing the send to the musician and that it's going to be a dynamic thing throughout the show is one of the reasons that I really don't like personal Monitor mixing without having at least some say from an audio engineer who knows how to mix. And I'm certain gives a very bad rap to in-ear monitors. I much prefer having access on the mixer to a next bus that I can PFL and then sending that to some sort of headphone amp, and with the digital mixers these days usually there's a way of providing some way for them to modify that mix remotely. Will still allowing me the ability to jump in and hear what's going on and make adjustments.

You briefly mentioned stereo mix in relation to people taking an earbud out, but not any more than that. Do you actively use the stereo field for iem's?
