Every time I listen to these nice videos I’m amazed by how these hardware stuff sounds. The depth, the extension at “extreme” settings (always smooth and warm), the musicality that is shown (no strange artifacts…), everything denotes something that I am not able to listen in the digital ITB replicas. I just hope that the software programming will evolve better, because space and money savings, besides convenience (mainly because of the lack of recall) are great ITB. All in all, I just opt nowadays for an hybrid setup with several limitations for my home studio 🤷♂️ As usual, great job of Joe and Chris, both educational and inspirational.

These both sound fantastic. One thing that really stood out to me was that when both units were engaged, A lot of the harshness of the vocals went away... The vocal become warm and sparkled.

Absolutely LOVE AudioScape! I recently purchased a unit from them that had some issues upon arrival. I emailed support right away. Not only did they message me back, on the weekend after 8pm, but the very next day a new unit was in the mail and on it's way to me! They even gave me a voucher for my next purchase. ALL of the team over there are amazing people and the products are all amazing too! I can't recommend them enough. I will certainly be buying more AudioScape units in the future and I recommend everyone else does too!

I was just mixing on my ASA-6A tonight. Portico ii for EQ and VCA comp to knock off the transients. Add a little silk and drive it into the 6A! 🎉That thing is the best on vocals! I have two of the V Comp + for stereo and other duties as well. All solid units with lots of mojo! Thanks for the great video!

These compressors are absolutely brutal. I love how much gain reduction these compressors can do without getting pancaked (presumably because both are a soft-knee design). Hats off to AudioScape for doing it so well! The only solid-state compressor that can do something like that that I've heard is the Distressor!

The RCA sounds fantastic, I use the Elray 2 from Acustica Audio in MS mode on my masters as a replacement for the RCA. The Collins 26 was also a beast at the time, but I use the Kollin from Analog Obsession, which is also great on single tracks or masters. Thanks for the presentation, Audioscape builds great stuff.
