Coming back to this video, where I first properly listened to kaytranada, I was soon hooked. I checked this after seeing disclosure recommend him in an interview. Got me into respecting DJing and also then into DJing and back into producing heavily. This time period was the most interesting for me. Hopefully he continues to experiment and explore his unique rhythms, baselines and chords + sampling. I want him to excel even more!

It's good, but he absolutely killed it in Sonar this past weekend in Barcelona, wish there was a vid somewhere. You can see the progression over the past couple years, though his sound is still very much his. He layered Missy Elliott's "Sock It 2 Me" over a really sick beat -- to a much better effect than in this mix and it totally lit the crowd up.
