I realize now, given how shitty they turned out to be, that in their golden years they were just copying Mind Againt's musical version, packaging it and marketing it better... If you listen to their stuff from 2012, 2016, 2023, and do the same with Mind Against, you will see clearly that the latter have a clear, solid musical identity that they always stayed true to while evolving as artists. Tale of Us - and this saddens me as an ex-hardcore fan of theirs - unfortunately are just surfing waves. We liked them the most when they were like Mind Against but that was just a trend for them. I think their best achievement might be giving exposure to Mind Against, the true godfathers who for years sucked at promoting themselves.

@@nhac-space I was talking about Tale of Us as a project. Carmine indeed is offering something artistically novel although i enjoy his new style less than their own and their label's top projection form around from the periods between 2015 to 2019. I respect the artist he proved to be on his own. On the other hand, Anyma is eventually more of an audiovisual event organizer for kids, a businessman basically. His tracks are undeniably pristine (must help to profit from all the resources at Afterlife), but musically shallow. Focusing more on dramatic drops to sync with the cartoons he displays on screen, rather than the texture, the structure, the journey... His sets are now an exhausting succession of drops too close to each other to let the listener explore anything in between, which he fills anyway with cheesy EDM vocals and that used and abused trend of same note stabs. Cheap art if you ask me. Too bad, I liked him as part of Tale of Us. Tale of Us who died, murdered by him.

That was paradise if you like this type of vibe 9, 10 sometimes 11 hours of this in the most intimate venues…I personally went multiple times at Shelter, Amsterdam. Oh how I miss those nights :(
