Here’s the thing. Back in the mid 90s there was a strong underground element who would dig soulful uplifting US ‘garage house’ but that crowd may have moved on to other things or simply was not there on Timmy’s night. I have always followed US deejays who play soulful uplifting ( what we called it in the 90s, for those in the know…) Soulful Garage House music with vocals because it was the music which had a feeling. Bobby & Steve, Paula Trouble Anderson and a few others would spin vinyl like the New York Deejays and the dance floor would rock. Today it is rare in London to here this and see people dance and not just stand there. Glad to have experienced Timmy’s music

When Timmy started on W.B.L.S. way before the Shelter it was him and Merlin Bobb KILLING IT! on the after hour dance party Friday nights from 2 a.m. to 6 a.m. and sometimes Boyd Jarvis would be on the keyboards working it with them. I remember hanging in front of the Garage with a 90watt Sharp blasting Timmy and Merlin getting warmed up to hit the dance floor with Larry killing it inside. The Architect Of Sound: I have been following, Timmy Regisford, for decades and he has always been consistently very good. It is extremely abstruse to play in an unfamiliar club with a sound system you have to adjust to with alacrity. There are no rehearsals and unfortunately for him; moreover, he chose to go with CDs and not an USB or computer files for unlimited access of music. Being that he does not seem comfortable with his audience; for, he has to empirically search and perform; hope that his limitation of music does founder his masterly live skill. I am trying ascertain what mixer he is using: many years ago the Bozak or Urei. Could it be that is his own mixer. I am impressed and this completely new music that I have never heard of; since, House Music is not as popular in NYC like is twas in the 80s and 90s.
