Wow this brings back some memories.. I remember back in the early 80's apart from Chaka, I remember Barbara Fowler, Toni Smith (Jamaican funk), Sharon Redd, SOS Band and Rene Diggs (Starpoint) were HUGE dancefloor acts... I know there were so many other female vocalists at the time, but those ones for me always guaranteed the dancefloor was never empty . Cant get enough of Barbara's vocals on this track. I suppose that music like this has gone forever now :-( ?

We kept it simple. Neve 8068, neumann U87 mic, NS10's, & JBL monitors and all sorts of outboard gear. All of the sounds came out of a DX-7 but I can't remember what drum machine we used. Eric played everything. We didn't use one sequencer on this. My studio today is much more compact and more efficient but I still miss the old stuff.
