A friend of mine worked on the set of Death Race. Tyrese Gibson rented a fancy ass condo in a highrise, a Lambo and spent his nights throwing money around in downtown bars. Statham rented a condo in the suburbs and would shop for his groceries at the local supermarket. His only requirement was a portable gym on the set, which he would tell everybody else to use at will. Once, a catering lady starting going all groupie on him, and the minute she had her back turned, he left. Super simple guy who didn't like to be treated like a god and preferred the company of the grips, the techs, etc...

Jason Statham is my favorite actor. I am quite impressed by the fact he was in a band as the drummer. I loved when he was in music videos. My favorite movie of Jason is Lock Stock And Two Smoking Barrels. I like he does his own stunts and plays chess. I always knew he liked cars by Audi - a blue one and a black one. His roles are great and I feel is his best blessing. I am hoping he gets Oscars for all his movies.

Thanks for pointing that out. I was wondering about it too. While that would be funny, they did actually play together in the movie that was the British version of “ The Longest Yard”, ( forget the name of it) where a professional player goes to jail and organizes a team to play guards. Jason played the crazy GK! Wasn’t a great movie but entertaining & had other big name actors in it too.

He didn't play soccer! He played "Football". Soccer is another one of those copied sports that is only played in the US and a similar game called "Football" is played elsewhere in the world. The US also has a game called "American Football" which is where an oblong ball is carried in the "hands" and thrown around a pitch. It's basically "Rugby" but with enough time after each touch to have a commercial break and give all the fat guys time to rest.
