To be fair to Minnie (about I-dle's dancing) when compared to other 4th gen groups, they aren't exactly leading the charge. HOWEVER, they aren't slouches either. To say they can't dance is just stupid because obviously they can. It's just when you compare them to powerhouses like ITZY, aespa, EVERGLOW, and PURPLE KISS, you sort of see Minnie's point. That said, I-DLE's charm isn't their dance but their personality (which actually translates onto their songs, not just their on screen appearances), diversity/creativity, and self producing. When you get an I-DLE album, you're buying into their artistic side more so than the other stuff. At least I think so anyway.

Aespa isn’t necessarily a powerhouse in dancing either. I’ve always heard Aespa was known for their top-tier vocals in the 4th gen. Itzy, Everglow (and Purple Kiss acc to your but I haven’t watched their stages) I can understand as being top performers for 4th gen. That’s not to say Aespa aren’t all solid dancers, but I don’t see a lot of talk about their choreography and performances. Same with (G)I-DLE. But (G)I-DLE’s strong point is definitely self-producing and for their stylistic vocals.

Soyeon is more than a capable dancer, but yes, in general the girls as group are behind in that area. Itzy is a cuasi full performance/dance group so they rise the average bar. But ( )I-DLE has 3 producers and almost 4 songwriters, seems to have control of their direction and sound, something you dont see in kpop easily archived. ​@@CeCe1066 You need to see Purple Kiss performances and covers... They have 2 great dancers Dosie and Ireh, 3 Excelent dancers Yuki, Goeun and Chaein and 2 idol average dancers Jieun and Swan. Actually IDLE's dance style is less about power or hitting the right moves, but it is more of a theatrical dance, where their main purpose is to tell a story. You can see similar dance style in groups like Dreamcatcher and MAMAMOO.
