I started speed running MC and no one told me that speed runners play in 1.16.1 to avoid brutes... got swords rammed up my ass in every way imaginable before I finally read a KZbin comment about it and realized that most speed runners do not in fact have to deal with 3 brutes at once with nothing but a stone axe and a bucket of lava (also I believe pearl trades were nerfed in the latest version also). I made it out of maybe 4 bastions in like 5 hours of filtered seeds.

This is amazing writing and storytelling by Toast, here we have a very unassuming character, coming to our protagonist with 0 armor with curt but kind request: "Can you help me?" and Miyoung, our kind hearted hero takes it. Then first thing first, the world we enter is oddly colored and heavenly and confusing as they both keep catching fire and Toast immediately dies, contextualizing the question of why he keeps dying today and Miyoung laughs, Toast has been trying something here armorless and dying over and over again. As we're laughing standing around his body Toast comes back like nothing happened. And thats where it starts to slowly get insane, sure he demands she protect her when encountered by a small mushroom, comedic genius moment, but thats where the funnies start to fade into amazement, our hero Miyoung with all her armor is slipping and moving through the endless dangerous roads afraid while Toast is rawdogging it with precision, stopping to remind us twice he's been through this many times. And then after minutes of traveling through hardship Toast stops to ask us "Do you see that body?" and its startling but Miyoung asks with hope if thats it, Toast says "No, that's one of many." Amazement turning unsettling, he leads her though roads that seem hand made by another player and natural roads and enters what looks almost like a catacombs for a hero and there lies another body, he again points it Miyoung who again asks if thats the one and he replies "No that's one of many" at that point it feels too much like a story about a character who has been subjected to endless violence circle in a time loop. all bored, memorized and a little unhinged about it. i could write a short story about this adventure i love how well Toast played that.
