@@mikeivoyloff1656 Yeah, over the years I've come to think that Swery65 is not the genius talent that he's made out to be. He's good with writing characters, but his stuff isn't very original. He also comes across as an absolute asshole. I was amazed at just how much of Deadly Premonition seemed to be lifted straight from Mizzurna.

@@Dorian_Scott Were there a lot of preset camera angles? I only remember seeing them for things like dialogue and cutscenes. It does use tank controls (it doesn't support analog controls iirc), but you can use the shoulder buttons to instantly turn 90 degrees in either direction which sidestepped so many control issues that games like RE suffered from. The driving controls, on the other hand.... not as bad as the ones in the Switch port of Deadly Premonition, but still rough.

That is not a super power. I get roughly 6 to 6 and a half hours of sleep every night without issue. I work M-F full time and my energy levels are always at peek. No joke, I put in 24,000 to 30,000 steps a day at work because I hate sitting down. All that and I still have to take something for sleep because I won't go to bed, I can't. If you can believe it, I'm 43 years old. My fiancee at 33 has trouble keeping up with me. Oh but there is a downside as well. If you're interested I'll tell you about it. If not, no worries....

spoilers, but also help for anyone stuck where i got stuck 11:10:31 for anyone who got stuck like i did on the part that nintendo complete cut out which is the black hand fight in the final shoot the guy just goes invisible and its a qte sequence so u cannot see what buttons to press ending ur playthru well here are the buttons u need to press, as far as i can tell its not random and the same every time, this is how i got thru Blackhand fight square, circle X, Triangle, X square circle, X, Circle circle, X Square, X, Triangle Square, Circle, X Triangle, Circle, X Triangle, Circle triangle, circle, x X, Square x, Circle triangle, square, circle, triangle a button or two may be off, but i did manage to get thru with this,between each line is where Matthew will reload, if he reloads that means u got it if not you get shot, good luck!

My game inserted a QTE battle with Black Hand between the 2nd and 3rd phases of the final gun battle with Wolf (playing on MiSTer). The trouble is, it glitches and you can't actually see what buttons you have to press! I used these combos to get through it: Square, X X, Triangle, X Square ? X, Circle Square, Triangle, Circle, X ? For some weird reason when playing this on Emulator, in the beginning of the game after waking up from the bed, if you push Select or something, the game skip right to the police station

It is normal that you can skip it, as these first minutes are the introduction or prologue of the game. The game and the clock actually start from the moment you enter the police station.

Huh, never heard of this one before...but man, I would have loved to play it back in the 90s! Too bad they didn't release it outside of Japan. I wonder if this game was any popular at all out there. Kowloon's Gate is another one I'd love to see translated one day. It seemed suitably weird and forward-looking too.

I bought a ps1 with a bunch of games for like $40 after the PS2 came out. I was more a PC gamer. 11 hours, I'm skipping around a bit. The headbutt move seems to be the best moved. I also like the shooting with no guns, is that an emulation error? It seems like you shot wolf in the dick a bunch of times.

The game is genuinely bad. Worst combat I've ever played, runs at 15 fps, there is nothing to do in the world besides going from point A to B and listen to some insipid dialogue about a mystery that isn't even intriguing. Every single NPC is shallow and boring. Being ambitious for its time doesn't justify the poor as fuck realization, sorry Human Entertainment. Yes, I've finished. Also there was a glitch in the final quick time in Austin Farm which you cut from the video, which prevents the game from being completed blind (Isabella's bodyguard doesn't show along with its qtes). To complete it I had to watch a youtube video, but that is probably a bug in the translation patch (which, anyway, deserves admiration, even though it's not optimal and unfinished).

I haven’t played it, but that’s the impression I get. Which sucks, because I think it’s very visually and atmospherically appealing. I can forgive the more aimless aspects of the game, because they were doing something that hadn’t been done before. But when a game’s only mechanics are literally just walking/driving and simple combat, I don’t know how you can screw that up.

i played this for the first time today. at the beginning of the game the sheriff tells you to go out to his car. while i was in Nozz's store i was pressing buttons to see what they did, and when i pressed start it teleported me to the sheriff's station. i assumed it had just skipped the drive from the store to the station, but no, it skipped an extremely vital series of cut scenes. so pissed.
