O he's clearly a very nice guy. Very inoffensive and measured tbh. Good strategy so that he can retain the character throughout without actually being a horrible/evil person as a villain. Some good nuance in character to accrue some reality and emotional appeal (wrestling's primary draw-- things got scripted so they could build things up, much more narrative potential than any unscripted competition) without trying to resurrect kayfabe by some other silly things like wearing mma gloves, doing triangle chokes etc.

Any decent pro wrestler who starts out by saying, "If I'm being completely honest" is about to work you. MJF is so good, he knows that he can't just start off with the usual wrestler schtick or no one would buy it. Maybe they'd say, okay, it's a character, I'll play along. But MJF tells you thinks you know are true, and by the end, you've been worked and you don't even know it. That's old school. Very few wrestlers, especially in AEW, even attempt to do that because they'd trap themselves in their own work. Because MJF starts with a shoot and then slowly introduces the work, he can go for hours because he seamlessly blends it all together. "I make a crazy amount of money." Yeah, he's working you and in full MJF character, but he's also probably not wrong. Pillman used to do the same thing. This is like Brian Pillman without the "I'm certifiably insane" vibes. It's unfortunate they haven't done much with Pillman's kid. I'd rather see him wrestle MJF than Wheeler, who is the Tom Zenk of babyfaces. Brian Jr is very green, but he's not going to get better unless he gets more experience. He's where his dad was at early on in Stampede. MJF could really help get some babyface sympathy for him. That trash talking of Pillman's dad was really working and there's a lot of material there for MJF to mine. There's nothing there with a lot of guys in AEW.

At first I'm not going to lie I was not a big fan but now that I understand his craft he's adopting very quickly and the wrestling scene and he understands that people are not going to like him whether he's a good guy or a bad guy as long as you make a reaction that's money. tremendous interview sam and mjf is the king of the tribe.

So I did the research for you my man. Goldberg is Romanian Jewish and definitely jacked in his prime. But MJF is still great.

😂 this was funny interview. I love the parts about him n his agent n him saying hes doin a great job n if he wasnt his agent he would be doin a great job as 1 😂 and then later again he repeats it again saying “Great job”. When talkin about Brian Dipperstein. Also loved the part before it where the interviewer says he talks like some Dipperstein guy n MJF says “I have no idea what you’re talking about😌”

So fun to sit back and watch Ariel do what he does then compare it to Sam and realize why Helwani is where he is

If AEW ever booked a match between The Elite vs CM Punk,Ace Steel,and probably Adam Cole, then MJF needs to be the special guest referee for that match

The only name from WWE that MJF did not mentioned I think îs the only one can put his mouth where his feet are. And that name is John Cena. The only one that can make MJF very small in a talking to the mic battle and also inside a ring in a wrestle match.
@erickrajniak8424 Жыл бұрын
MJF is living his character/gimmick. He is bringing back kayfabe all by himself. Just like The Nature Boy, living the life with no difference between the family man and the wrestler.

I fact checked "By far the most jacked Jewish pro wrestler in the history of the business"- he's saying he's more jacked than Bill Goldberg at his prime. He isn't, but it is a great line.
