@@MJSailing exactly... I guess the fact that your boat comes from Vietnam, Cu Chi tunnels and all makes sense, but seriously how do they do that in Vietnam at the boat yard? Do people have to crawl in the same way?

Ya know how people say things like "Ryan is an absolute legend!" when they are talking about normal people named Ryan? But those Ryans are in fact not legends and are usually just normal dudes that do something forgetably cool for like 30 seconds once in their life. But THIS Ryan? This dude is in fact an absolute legend. Our great grand children are gonna be fixing their spaceship and saying things like "always be a good person because if you are, maybe a Ryan will show up when you need one" and "hey, thanks for the Ryan" or "Dude, you're an absolute Ryan!" Legend. (And Burt is also a little bit alright)

It can't be coincidence that Burt and Ryan appear just in time to fully help with the transom. But it was perfect that they did. Nice vid. You make it look easy. My dad put a boat together at Cocosolo in the Panama Canal Zone.(Neither exist anymore) I can remember marine plywood and fiberglass was in short supply. What fish and lobster could get you in those days. He put it all together, all he started out was with the hull and deck.(Cuddy) Raw. Only 7 of these hulls were produced, locally. His was the only one with twin outboards. He cut the transom out for the engines. Called her the "Fried Rice". Got that name from a dock worker, whose nick name was "Fried Rice". What memories running her on both the Atlantic and Pacific Coasts of Panama.

True planning and preparation are actually not about making the project go without flaws. It's so that you can get the job done when things go to $#!t. It was only *because* you had planned and prepared and rehearsed that when you had a monster problem come up in the middle that you were able to get it done in time -- all the other parts polished enough that they didn't get in the way. Great job! You guys continue to impress with your progress on this huge project. I hope overcoming potential pitfalls like today's help keep you motivated during this build!

Back, many years ago (when I still had hair) I found the best/cheapest way to keep you hair out of the resin/paint/what-ever is an ordinary short sleeve t-shirt. Start to put it on, but not all the way, stop before you put your entire head through the neck-hole, just your face. Tie the sleeves behind your head, and tuck it into the neck of you shirt, along with your hair.
