it’s not counted as a row :) and you can just do as many rows as you want to fit your wrist

At 21:14 after working 8 stitches she says “in total with my chain 2 so fair I have 10 stitches”. I’ve been struggling with my pattern all day because I feel like I’m dropping stitches. It seems like the chain 2 is somehow counting as TWO stitches? Or I’m misunderstanding something.

@vilde1919193 жыл бұрын
What do you mean by lines? Stitches? Rows? Either way you have to count them. With the stitches its easier to count the v-shapes that will appear on top of your work as you go.

I am kinda hung up on the first single stitch row of the body... aren't you working two stitches into each row of the cuff? So 52, not 26? I rewatched and compared the video so many times, I can't figure it out 😅
@mjsoffthehook Жыл бұрын
I am only crocheting 1 stitch into each row of the cuff. You should have 26 stitches.
@carinam.9447 Жыл бұрын
@@mjsoffthehook I think I have been counting the rows wrong.. I thought the number of "ridges" are the number of rows, but the space between them is also one row, right? So I crotched double the rows, but I didn't realize because I was fitting it around my wrist and it fits, which is weird because my yarn and hook are pretty similar 🤔 gotta figure out the right sizing for my mittens.
@amykw13734 жыл бұрын

@klifeni60274 жыл бұрын
use a thicker yarn or smaller hook, that will help get tigher stitches BUT I have noticed that herringbone stitch does leave bigger gaps between stitches so to honestly fix this we might just have to sew in a liner somehow.
