I rode my GT with the stock seat for about 6,000 miles. Pretty uncomfortable after an hour or so. Then I got my Sargent at a holiday discount and can easily ride nonstop between gas stops. I often completely forget about how bad the stock seat was simply because the Sargent is totally unnoticeable. As the saying goes; comfort is NOT noticing. And this seat IS comfortable.

I have been around pretty much all of Lake Okeechobee but only in a vehicle passing by on trips. Of course you mostly do not see any of the lake from the road. I had no idea you could ride around it on a bike on that trail. Can you do the entire lake? Back in my Navy days I did get to see it from about 50 feet blowing over it in an A-7E out of Jacksonville. That’s the best view ever. More than a few surprised fisherman 😂

Someone said in another comment that it the optional gx seat. I'm surprised. I sat on both the gt and gx. Totally different stock seats .

I have the exact same bike (same colors) and I have 2100 miles on it. Totally love it. The stock seat is better than most stock seats I have had, but still after 45 minutes it's pretty hard to tolerate. I've been wondering about the Sargent seat since I got the bike in April and glad you reviewed it. Riding season here is almost over here in the Northeast. So, it looks like a Christmas present to me! What was the turnaround time when you placed the order? How long did it take to arrive?

How does the Sargent seat compare with the stock one in regards to ride height? Is it taller/shorter than the factory seat?

Pretty much the same height. The position, however, is slightly different. It’s more flat like. You don’t get to move around the seat much as with the stock unit, but the “fixed” position totally makes sense.

Nice review! What is the luxury seat? Can you please send a link to it? I agree that the stock seat is terrible. Looks like Sargent may sit lower than stock. Can you confirm?

Tried this seat on the exact same model bike. Sent it back, and took the hit on shipping. It was worse than the stock seat. Very uncomfortable and felt cheaply made. Also, I was told by sargent that this seat was not supposed to come with a flashlight. Mine did not.

You lose credibility when you contend "The stock seat is a complete disaster". The stock seat is pretty good. Maybe the Sargent is better, but I've put 400 miles in a day with the stock seat and it's ok. If I buy the Sargent and it's just marginally better, I'm gonna feel cheated.

The stock seat for me is pure misery after 60 miles. I wa really hoping this would be an improvement over stock but some comments make me wonder. Don’t want to spend the money on a Corbin as other Corbin’s raised me up way too high.
