My first antenna mod was on the 501 hubsan a controller and drone and I noticed the antennas were inside like that so I just put them outside to through a straw hot glued to the back of the drone for protectionand it definitely increased my range so I did it with my bug still just hung them out there like you did this is a good video for people that are getting into the hobby definitely

the antennas inthe drone are for 2.4 , the wifi antennas are in the camera

I did the same thing with my MJX MEW 4-1 charger and the former 5 hour charge time is now 45 minutes per battery...maybe 1 hour. Works with Bugs 4W, Bugs2Se. Interested to see how much more range you get. I also soldered an XT30 that I ran neatly out the side of my MEW 4-1 to use any other 2S battery with xt30...and can still use the proprietary battery. It has the exact same controller as my Bugs4W ...the 4W gets over 1000 meters...the MEW has gotton 758 meters...but I would like to extend the MEW's range another 300 yards...I may take it back apart to expose the antennas...any antenna that is next esc's will suffer huge interference issues just from the esc's...seems that the manufacturer would know this...? Check out my MEW upgrades on my channel and my Bugs 4w 1806 2400kv motor upgrades too. 🤟🤟 Keep them videos coming bro. Stay safe and keep your head up during this B.S.

yu've got one more cuzz...th' sides pop off the camera & th' TWO 5G antenna are inside ...l rerouted them out th' sides like yours (4 in all) looks cool & works well for my flight area

@@JayDrone I definitely did. It goes further than I care to take it now, lol thank you. I've been looking for a mod for this. I just got it a few days ago. Fairly new to drones but I love it so far. Ive lost a few cheap ones and had my x5 "go home" under a huge tree and it got stuck at the top. Tree guy had to get it out. I learned to shut off my GPS when my battery is low. But these hills were hindering my distance bad but this really helped. Thanks

I did the antenna mod with stock camera antennas as well. My fpv is a HUGE improvement. I was amazed by the fpv camera improvement. Its getting g almost double the distance that it used to. I'm going to get some aftermarket antennas for all of the locations. But wow.

Its not a no cost mod but kust as soon as i get some extra cash im gonna do a mod on one of my bebop 2's trying to use a flat panel upgrade instead the little metal plates in the feet.
