so do you leave camera off and battery grip off when you want everything off? I heard of drainage by the grip and want to prevent that.

You didn't show pairing the remote and mine will not pair no matter what I try!

I didn’t need to pair them, they just work

I had the same issue, but it is working now. at 1:13 is show the manual to set up the chanel of the remote to set chanel "00", then at 1:14 (next side of the manual) is described how is it working to set up connecting the Remote with the Grip. I used two full loaded batteries for the Grip, put it in and push after few seconds at the shutter-button from the remote. It needs 4 or five times but now is it working again. Only i can't tell you, i've doing this if Camera Powerswitch is on or off (try different ways please)
