I'm not sure who would actually buy these things. I get it, it lacks some features/accessories of the Pro, but the slight price difference is worth what's missing. The charging case is sooooo handy and those excellent lav mics. Even if you already own a bunch of lav mics, it's still worth the extra money to get THESE lav mics that come with the Pro set. Anyone thinking about getting the 3, spend the extra money for the Pro FOR SURE!

My gripe for any 32bit recorder is all should start /stop when shutter or camera rec button is pushed so you dont get hrs of audio that will not be used.Pain in the nas.great vid. Thank you

Very interesting move on Rode's part, but it seems logical. The Pro and the Go were targeted for almost the same group (prosumer), however, with the bundled accesories of the Pro the price was a bit beyond limits for many and bought mainly by those shooting professionally. So Rode decided to lower the price by not adding the accessories and removing timecode. By the way timecode. I believe it was implemented in the Pro as an afterthought, but never implemented fully (it is output only). So I guess there will soon be an even more expensive Pro2 with TC in and out, maybe swappable battery, more control on the receiver, probably SD card storage, and who knows what other features they may come up with. Let's start saving up. :)

Targeted at influencers who want simplicity and aren't going to use the lavs. They seem to be fighting an up hill battle with DJI and the whole space has become saturated with every possible wireless mic solution you can think of. Timecode in general is a difficult tech to take advantage of and doesn't solve drift. Mostly used for movie sets where I don't imagine them using consumer type device. It's too big and heavy when clipping on the transmitter. I do like the sound quality over DJI but DJI is smaller and more convenient integrating with their cameras. I'm curious how this segment will shake out.

Thanks for the review! Audio seems indistinguishable. Aside from colors, I don't see any added value from the Wireless Go 3.

There are two new features that wireless pro misses - monitoring and using the base as a third microphone if you plug in a microphone. As far as I got it from their promo

If you use a headset you do get a 3rd microphone with Pro. Check my beginners guide for the Pro :)

I agree. Currently I have all the last rode and DJI and rode is the winner for me for now.
