A lot of useful things to learn here. There are tower battles where only skill can get you out of a messy situation and it's impossible to brute force it even with decent gear. Tactics like stun loop or special attacks chaining is the secret to beating most things in this game

Another thing to look when fighting so you can improve your playstyle: Related with the recovery, check how your character is standing after the end of a string, combo ender or special attack. Your character's base standing is looking at the screen (and the opponent is the opposite, so it will have their back looking at the screen). So if a special or combo ender leaves your character with the back looking at the screen, then is recommended to insta block (when you can) to get your base standing quickly and without leaving your character open for a counter attack. This can be used also to counter the opponent if they get to be with an inverse stand (looking at the screen)

I'm glad you mentioned frame data, it's something I've been using for years now but it's something not many people know about, I only know about it because I got decently good at the console games.
