MK Party loses bid to halt National Assembly first sitting

The Constitutional Court has refused to grant the interdict to halt the first sitting of the National Assembly on Friday. The Umkhonto Wesizwe party sought to block the first sitting. The apex court has found that the decision does not invoke the exclusive jurisdiction as desired by the MK party. According to the Constitution, the first sitting must take place within 14 days after the declaration of the results at a date and time to be determined by the Chief Justice.

Prayers of many have been answered. Only reason for MK is so that ANC couldn't get a majority vote. For the 1st time now, maybe we can have a true democracy. Parties need to do what is right for ALL SOUTH AFRICANS and SOUTH AFRICA as a whole. Rule in a way that brings in foreign investment, which will provide more jobs, sort out crime (thank goodness Cele is gone, hopefully someone with experience replaces him), improve the standard of education, encourage farming opportunities to the many unemployed etc. When we stand together, we can build SA into the country that it should be.
