Last Question 1. Severe Pre eclampsia superimposed on chronic hypertension. High blood pressure with proteinuria before 20 weeks gestation 2. Renal failure in pregnancy Chronic hypertension in pregnancy 3. Increase in marternal age predispose the foetus to chromosomal abnormalities , placental insufficiency. 4 . Liver function test , prothrombin time , full blood count , PTT 5. Treat hypertension MgSO4( prevent seizures) Bed rest Terminate pregnancy since less than age of viability

What would your comment be if someone said molar pregnancy as a diagnosis?

@@DrMK7 Molar pregnancy is actually a good second differential diagnosis looking at the age of the patient as well as the blood pressure we know hypertension is a typical presentation of molar pregnancy. Correction on my answer above it is chronic hypertension and not superimposed preeclampsia considering the gestational age. But with no other specific signs of gestational trophoblastic disease I stand with chronic hypertension.
