Hi there. Sidedrafts is to heavy on fuel that's the big problem you gain alot of power (not money wise) 32/36 weber really packs a punch and surprisingly good on fuel.

May i ask how was your fuel consumption with the std 1.8. I have a std 1.3 maybe thinking for a std 1.8 8v swop just for long roads. Hope there wont be a big difference in consumption.

Hi there. Sorry for late reply. Fuel consumption was not bad. I did run the 1.8 block with 288 cam from stk. If you run with std 1.8 block and std cam fuel should be better then the 1.3 motor.thanks for your support.

Hi there. Thats the old set up but will share it with you. 1.8 8v motor, 1.4 cylinder head 288 cam branches and free flow, 32/36 weber carburetor, 4 speed gearbox, pls go and see my latest video, car is much faster.

Hi Jens. Not sure what it is 32/36 weber choke is automatic. See no difference in weber carburetors 32/36 manual choke same thing.

Hi there. Yes there is risks involved doing a dyno engine can blow up on dyno, also depending on what rpm you pushing the car, hope i help you out with your problem.

Hi Johan. 150 kilometers on 300 rand. And she is not bad it's town driving. And I have 32/36 weber with 288 camshaft. Planning new set up next year.
