The longer this timeline goes, the more incompetent Liu Kang appears. But by far my biggest problem is how he still refuses to give Kenshi his sight back. I’m sure he would appreciate being able to see again, Liu Kang.

I think Liu Kang was feeling freaky and wanted to see some booty. Cuz making original Kharacters into females is extremely unnecessary, we already have multiple female Kharacters that we have not seen in almost 20 years. BTW: Our current Scorpion is the past Sub-Zero named Kuai Liang. Who is the younger brother of the original Sub-Zero, Bi-Han. And our current Sub-Zero is the past Noob and original Sub-Zero, Bi-Han. The original Scorpion named Hanzo, has yet to be seen in the story. But was seen in Smoke's tower ending.

The whole idea behind MK 12 don't work as soon as you think about the fact that Liu Kang and Geras didn't know that other timelines existed, but Titan Shang and Titan Havik did. That's absolutely stupid and it keeps getting worse after that.

Gonna add this: Shang Tsung was changed from a Human to an Edenian Quan Chi was changed from an Oni from the Netherrealm to an Edenian Kuai Liang/Bi-Han was changed from an Outworld Cryomancer to an Earthrealmer. Baraka was a Tarkatan and now an Edenian who is infected by Tarkata. Mileena was a Tarkatan Kitana Clone and now an Edenian who is infected by Tarkata. Liu Kang did changed Tarkatans by removing them but the Hourglass just made Tarkatans into the Victims of Tarkata. Kuai Liang took Hanzo's Role, Janet Cage was from the Deception Era, Shujinko and Hanzo are kids now, and Smoke is no longer a sacrificed kid who is an Enenra. But I hate the fact Sektor and Cyrax been Gender Bended for Woke.

@shadersz1068 but what does changing Cyrax's and Sektor's Gender changes their fate? It was not only in Liu Kang's Timeline that their gender were changed. They could have easily just altered the Kameo Cyrax and Sektor models and slight tweaked their animations like with the random Tarkatans, which uses Baraka's moves. Like I get everyone else's changes and never complained about it, but not even remotely just Cyrax and Sektor. And they still are very similar to their characters from MK9, 3D Era MK, and MK2/3. Which there was no warrant for the gender swap.

So far the only kameos that are confirmed to be in Liu’s timeline are khameleon,Darrius,sarena,goro,motaro and technically mavado since he’s in takedas cannon ending. Jax,shujinko,and hanzo also exist but they’re completely different Jax is now a spy,hanzo and shujinko are kids so the rest are just gameplay mechanics. For the gender swap while stupid it’s easy to write it to make it make sense.All they got to do is just say that they are the daughters of the original versions simple.

I believe in Sektor’s case, they did confirm or at least eluded to her being the original’s daughter. Not sure in the case of Cyrax.

If i had to give a reason for the swap, i would think that liu kang made sektor a woman so she could be a balancing factor for bi han just as another factor to prevent him from becoming evil; if you ignore sareena existing. As for cyrax, genuinenly no idea. I think them not being robots is an actual "new direction" instead of genderswapping.

I could be mistaken but the cyrax and sektor from the games of olde were originally human and went through a cybernetic transition where they were then cyborgs, at the very least one of the later mks (mk9 or older) explains it as well. Personally I'm fine with them being gender-swapped and this is coming from someone who played the og games religiously. I can still pull off a glitch me and my boy found in mk trilogy on n64 and have yet to see it replicated elsewhere so we might record that. There was also nothing mentioned about bo rai cho being gender-swapped as madam bo which was a good change imo. This timeline also seems to be more "realistic" than the previous. johny is still kinda an ass but more human than the action start he was previously, same with scorpion, subzero and smoke. anyone who wasn't more or less "human" had their qualities pronounced but not too much over the top i suppose. overall great game character-wise, they could have definitely done worse.

Here's where none of the characters are younger versions of themselves from the previous timeline but completely different versions of their self from a new timeline the only character that's from the old timeline is Liu Kang everyone else is completely new that's why some of them are completely different for an example mileena not being a clone of a katana but her actual sister Raiden not being a immortal god millions of years old but just a regular human with a powerful weapon Johnny Cage who never met Sonya and Jax and join the military and then you have people like scorpion and takeda who aren't even the same people they were before. And just because Liu Kang recreated the universe doesn't mean that he has control over what gender someone is born that's probably still a chance someone could be born a different gender. And a lot of the Cameo fighters aren't even in this universe Janet is from a different timeline scorpion is actually the original scorpion Hanzo hasashi from another timeline and Sub-Zero is most likely Kuai Liang (the good Sub-Zero) also from another timeline and the same can be said for a lot of the Cameo characters and it's not canon so you're really not supposed to pay attention to the Cameo characters they're only really there for gameplay reasons not story reasons. And the Johnny Cage in the chaos story is from a random timeline that we know nothing about all we know is it takes place in world war II and that's it.

So there’s a explanation but at the same time there isn’t. So in the original timelines, cyrax, sektor, smoke, cyber subzero are all cyborgs compared to cyrax and sektor now who just wear suits. Unless it was sub zero or smoke being turned into cyborgs because of unfortunate events, anyone can be cyrax or sektor. Now Liu kang could just be one horny mf but I don’t see a problem with a female cyrax and sektor

Before the release of Khaos Reigns story expansion, I held out hope that they would at least give a narrative reason why Cyrax and Sektor were gender-swapped, or at least explain that these are not our original Cyrax and Sektor, but from an alternate timeline coming into ours. But no...none of this was even touched on. The developers are telling us these characters have always been this way. And honestly we all know why Netherrealm did this... gender/race swapping has started to become fairly popular in general media for inclusivity. And what I think the most messed up part is? I honestly don't think a vast majority of people have a problem with adding diverse characters for inclusivity. What people have a problem with is when you take already well-established existing characters in a story and massively overhual their character to the point they might as well be someone else. Soley for the sake of inclusivity. The developers are expected fans to still view them as the same. That is what is pissing off fans. They are not the same, and the developers don't even try to make it make sense.

I get the gender swap problem but those are not the younger versions of them and half of the kameos are used for game mechanic purpose it shows when you customize them what skin they wear like sektor it says mk3 same for the cyrax kameo, mk3

Smh, the new scorpion is actually the younger sub-zero from the previous time line. While the original sub zero is the same. The kameo scorpion is the scorpion from the previous time line which is hanzo. The kameo sub zero is the current time line scorpion because of the uniform from mk2. Cyrax and Sektor on the kameo is from the previous time line if you played Mk9. I don't really care about the gender swap. I completely understand what took place. 100 percent. Remember, hanzo is in this time line too if you beat the game with smoke. Hanzo is a boy in this time and recruited by smoke into the shirai ryu. Some things have been flipped in liu kang time line. Some relationships have been changed. Some fates have been altered. Such as how kenshi lost his eyes compared to the previous time line. They're shifting the narrative. 🤷🏽‍♂️. I'm just curious to see where this story goes, and will mk2 be a legitimate mk2 since NRS is starting over. Btw think of kameo characters as Marvel vs capcom 1 guest characters that assist in battle. Not necessarily relevant in the story, but a callback to the classic characters that everyone love and remember from the previous time line. Hopefully, that clicks...

Kameos don't matter, they are just NPC. It's good that we have the same characters who are in the roster and they are also Kameos. I don't want to see the other characters to be Kameos. Khaos Reigns story was so trash, MK11 Aftermath story is better.

Took 5 minutes to prove a point that the entire game is about. The whole point of it being called mk1 is a universal do over. The kameos are just that, cameos. This is the equivalent of getting mad that characters respawn after fatalities.

@@MordexWilson according to Ed Boon, the kameos were supposed to be a fight mechanic only. Call backs to old games and special characters that they couldn't fit into the story. It's just stupid that they would introduce the multiverse AND have those characters pop up in the background in the story.

In the real story Kuai Liang is Sub-Zero because Bi han becomes noob and hanzo was Scorpian. With no reason Liu made Kuai have the spear and the fire. Didnt stop Havok from Making Noob. (Even though it did) but cyrax and sektor are not they names, that is they’re title or code name. He just feel these people would be better as cyrax and sektor to avoid Armageddon. Remember he fucking with everything to stop Armageddon from happening. (Which he failed because you can’t change fate) but yeah. The lore not even that deep do a little research.
