MK3 Supra Stock NA Exhaust vs HKS LET-T16 Turbo Exhaust

Comparison of stock exhaust on a 1989 NA Supra (completely stock 7M-GE) vs the same car with a cat-back HKS LET-T16 turbo exhaust. After installing the HKS, my Supra not only sounded better, but overall performance was improved. Even though the stock Toyota exhaust can clearly be heard in this video, I didn't like it because most of the time it was virtually silent from the cabin. The HKS exhaust produces a noticeable upgrade in exhaust volume and tone, but is modest enough to be daily driver and neighbor friendly.
TL;DR The HKS turbo exhaust makes an NA MK3 Supra a hell of a lot more fun to drive.

Besides being a mandrel bent 3 inch exhaust, it has a resonator and a straigh through muffler with sound deadening wrapped around the pass through on the muffler. On my turbo car, I went 92 mph with that exhaust. But, I had the full HKS exhaust with the main cat in place on a 1991 A340E automatic car. The sound is perfect, to my ears any way.

Sounds excellent Low tone low Vibration low tone Exhaust nope Very noticable difference. I bet your Supra feels way more fun and more pleasing to drive.

I've never seen a subtle exhaust upgrade like this before. So much better looking than oem, but without the obnoxious noise of a fart cannon

Hi, with this HKS turbo exhaust do you experience and undesirable drone noise? I have a 91 supra with resonator and straightrough magnaflow muffler but the drone noice is too loud.

I don't have the car anymore, but never had any undesirable drone. Took the car on a 3500 mile road trip and the exhaust sound was always good.

So the turbo exhaust fits the N/A exhaust?

It should. However, when mine was installed, I replaced the original catalytic converter (it was toast) with a new aftermarket one, which, if I remember correctly, was a bit longer than the factory one, so an adjustment had to be made in that respect. So, I'm not 100% if there will be perfect fitment with the factory cat.
