I'd suggest reaching out to United Motorsports and see what they have to offer. I know the R32 guys love their tunes, and their 24v tune is similar. Last I checked, they had a dealer in the Orlando area.

The absolute best VR6 12v 268 cams were the DRC 268s. i don't know if they are still available though.

n/a cars always needs to be tuned on a dyno. i dont think there wont be a difference anyway between 268 and 272. as long as they uses the same lift this will be more or less for the feelgood. :D better fuel on stock cams or even e85 will give more power.

I have always had good luck with GIAC I have heard good things about United Motor Sports(not sure if they are still in business), or if you wanted to spend the extra money you might find a place that makes up a specific tune. I am not sure if Apexi is even still in business but that used to make a SAFC II Tuner for the 12v VR6, which some people would use to tweak a bit more power out of the cars after installing a chip. I think APR might make a chip for The 12v VR6. Lets be real The 12v VR6 is a great engine but it's a bit old, not sure who still sells chips. I'm sure some people on Vortex might drop a line if you asked the question. I think a custom tune would be cool, but after you get all the mods you want on it. I know it costs a lot of money but a properly done P&P with 36/41 BVH head with those cams would be sick. I had a heat treated P&P BVH with DRC268's on my Jetta and it made the mid to high end power band wake up quite a bit. I wish I would have taken off my Bosal Header, and ported and gasket matched my lower intake manifold and my exhaust manifold. The Schrick VGI was nice but looking back on it I would have rather had a 2.9L P&P stock intake manifold where the elbow was properly cut to allow more flow. I've read that that actually produces a decent amount of HP and is far cheaper than buying a used Schrick VGI, I don't believe Schrick even makes them anymore. This makes me miss my old 1995 OBD I MKIII GLX VR6 Jetta. I need to hit the lottery and get another VR6 I do miss my Jetta but I'd love a Corrado.

From what I’ve seen the Giac tune and the Euro Customs tune for the mk4 12v are still available to buy new. Some of the older ones I’d have to buy used if I found someone selling it. I did see on marketplace a guy had 12v vr6 chipped ecu’s from lowlyfe which I haven’t heard of before. Something like a custom tune would be cool but idk who even provides that these days. Off the shelf tune will probably be the easiest route.

I working a 94 mk3 glx, have a few vids on my channel of it. I had Mk4 afp vr6 that made me fall in love with this engine. My goal setup would be some mild cams 262 or higher, 3.94 with and lsd.

Is it common to have no pad contact on the outer portion of the rear 10.1 rotors? I had the same problem on an old mk4

put your car in reverse if you jack it up ar the rear facing down a slope. the gearbox will hold it.

You don’t have to tune it to run those cams? Usually in a v8 like in Silverado, you have to tune it to drive otherwise it’ll run like crap. That car is definitely going to wake up once you get a tune!
