The Mk2 Jetta is home! This thing is so cool and I had a blast driving it back home. Cant wait till Casey gets back so we can dive into this thing!

That front support wasn't OEM paint matched. Only TAS (bosnian mk2 manufacturer) had paint matched front support and thats how you You distinguish german cars vs TAS cars. Cars from germany had black painted front support

The grill is missing some caps and rads are paint matched from the factory and the fill bottle for coolant is a mk2

Check on vw heritage for some parts and I see the speaker cover. And wellcome to mk2 family . Check the ground because can damege the computure. If you change the motor change the gas tank for mk3 to use one fuel pump

Had mk2s since I started driving. Mk2f coupe - MK2 breadvan and now got a MK2 1.6 golf. Absolutely love it, such fun to drive and easy to mod and repair. Although replacing those roof gutters are a nightmare, they're pretty pricey second hand unless you're lucky enough to find decent ones on a scrap car. Enjoy it though !!

It’ll cost a few bucks but buy like 3 or 4 4x8 pieces of thick plywood and make a little trail on where you need to go with your picker or anything heavy for that matter. It’ll roll a lot smoother! Just a little labor to pick it up and stack it afterwards

You don’t need cover the whole floor - just need 4/6 pieces of the mat for the direction your travelling in……. 👍

Yes it supposed to be a cap over the screw. that is the small windshield washer reservoir you should see the ones that come in the older mk2s that has headlight washers. the late mk2s has the round expansion tank but not with the level sensor. feel free to seend me a message on Instagram "johnareh415" if you have any mk2 questions

that rad support is not oem paint. i have had many and every one of them is black. yes there is also supposed to be a cap to cover the hole on the grill. its hard finding mk2 parts any more. i had so many... should have never given up on that project.

@@Mk3Smith yes it is a relay like in the Mk3. Should be relay 4 or 29. 165919437A is the Mk2 part number and 321919433B is the Mk3 version. Both of them have the same chime sound tho. A great website for Mk2 information is a2resource.com. Can't wait to see what all you do with her

I had some plywood but it would just crack because of the big gaps in the cobble stone and when you have to go from one sheet of ply wood to the other it’s always annoying getting over the edge. I think solid rubber wheels might be the answer
