I had a GIAC chip in my 93 SLC ECU with Techtonics 268 cams, ported head, Quaife LSD, Techtonics 2.5 inch exhaust, catted downpipe. It definitely improved that setups driveability, but I also ported and polished mmy throttle body, and sometimes, rarely that would give it a rough idle. Porting and polishing the intake runners and throttle body will give you more intake resonance and make sound it higher pitched and more throaty. Also did a lightened flywheel, 3:94 gears with a TDI 5th gear and poly mounts. two biggest mistakes were the lightened flywheel and poly motor and trans mounts as those two mods ruined the character of the car and the daily driveability.

Wow really, I had BFI stage 2 green mounts all around on a mk4 vr6, and even though the ride was more rough, the driving was way more responsive. At first I didn't like my lightweight flying, but it seemed to rev up much faster.

Great choice on tuning .It sounds great there, pops and bangs. The exhaust note sounds great, almost like miley, but not quite. I can't wait to see what's next.On a lighter note, Christian, I have Mk-4 1.8ltr, and what I need to know is where the knock sensors are located on that block . I can't find them .KZbin said they are on the front of the block, but I don't feel them.If you have a video that shows them, let me know. Mine have to change out very soon. Thank you,Vw guru.

They come with 174hp to the crank from factory but you are not getting that to the wheels. I’m thinking with the set up you have now you are probably putting down a true 174 to 180 hp . I have also a MK4 Jetta Wagon VR6 5 speed . Cold air intake, down to the lower fender, euro custom chip! Test pipe , 2.5 miltek exhaust. And just with those things I feel a lot of improvements. I can’t imagine with a cam and down pipe! Good looking Wagon! Big fan of your channel 🤙🏻
