Just incase anyone wants to know the torque spec for the 6 bolts (3 on each side) is 115nm and the bolt the goes through the bush is 125nm. (this is advised in the Haynes manual for the 1.4 zetec but I would assume its the same for all mk6 fiestas)

Great video, it helped a lot!! Cheers!! Just two things i'd like to add though, use excessive amounts of lube if your using Polly bushes or they start squeeking (more anoying than anything tbh) the second is i noticed you don't have to set up the bracket as long as your using Polly bushes, the pin isn't fixed so they will still rotate even once torqued up (100% clock the braket if your using stock rubber bushes though or they will last five mins).

I've got some original ones to go on and all new bolts. I'm gonna take subframe completely off, wire brush, red oxide n black it. You will have to do what I did, everything off underneath, wire brush on drill, red oxide, then paint it by hand. For some reason there is no underseal on the back end, large areas are bare metal, heat shields are no problem, tanks the main job. Best thing to do, is an area a weekend, otherwise it's too daunting. I've got both subframes to take off, clean n paint soon.

I'm doing exactly that in a few weeks, I just received my bushes today and it came with bolts, I don't know if you might remember but, I just put the bolt through the Bush and its not a tight fit, I would have expected the bolt to be the same diameter as the Bush hole.

I have just done mine this week. I used a jigsaw to cut out the rubber. The remaining part was plastic and just took it out with a screwdriver. It took 10 mins I have also installed Powerflex bushes. The complete axle was taken off due to advisories on corrosion.

I ground off the corrosion and then painted with black hammertoe. I had to break into the brake lines which has cost me. When bleeding the system the offside calliper bleed nipple was seized in. Should have explained a bit more better as this has been asked a lot 32mm bit Is for the standard bush as the race doesn’t move I realised this as I got to the other side and got annoyed hence why I just gunned it. @norm4260

@@CdotPoppy I used it when tightening the bolt because it's quite a high torque about 110nm and the bracket wants to move without it. But when it's on the car the bracket is able to pivot anyway so it finds the correct place. I think the original ford bush works differently and could bind up if not torqued in the correct position.

I would advise anyone watching this to NOT fit the black series bushes. They're too hard. It makes the rear end too stiff and causes the rear end to be twitchy. Im going to replace my black series with the yellow ones to soften the rear end. If its a track car then go for it. But if your driving on uneven B roads i really wouldn't fit the blacks. To be fair ive got BC coilovers which are really stiff even on the softest setting so that could also be a factor? But when i had the standard bushes fitted it handled brilliantly. Replaced the worn bushes with the black series and now if im driving fast through B roads it can be sketchy at times. I dont think its personal preference at all, i think its down to how hard your current coilovers are and the type of roads you drive on.
