MK6 Ford Fiesta ST150 water leak! Will the rear light fix solve the issue???????

Yep under the roof strip for sure !!, just done mine on my mk7 fiesta. I sealed all the way along both sides and now just waiting for alot of rain to see results

The two lugs snapped off both my lights as well, I didn’t bother trying to fix the plastic. I drilled a very small hole through the plastic and metal at the very bottom, and used a small self tap screw to pull it in nice and tight, it done the trick. And a thin bead of sealer also helped.

I had a leak from the top level brake light at the spoiler, it leaked through the boot catch though so might be a different failure than yours. Just stuck some black silicone on mine and it fixed it. Dreading if I ever have to replace the bulb

I will be checking rear brake light just incase it’s going that way down the car. Oils be multiple failure points 😂 yeah don’t envy you changing the bulbs 😭

I have a 3D printer and TPU... i wondered if i could print new gaskets? looking for rough dimensions of those gaskets

I had the exact same issue (leaking exactly the same place) and mine was a hairline crack in the seam sealer under the plastic roof rail. Took me months to find it but with some sealant it's never leaked again 👍

@@DJLloydy yeah mate, wasn't a problem at all. I pulled the strip off and used a small amount of sealant where that crack was and then used double sided tape to stick the strip down again. Year later and I've had no issues what so ever

Leaks are annoying! Get some white sealant (good stuff) and dig a bit of old seam sealer out those joins and bung a bit in. Put some around the light gasket (as won’t see it) and put some in the lip of the screws as you put them in them have another test

hey mate put some food dye in the water and you should see where the leak is worth a try
