It was a reliable head unit for me in my old GLI Edition 30. At least you can upgrade Navigation Maps in that. I still can't in my 2017 R Discovery Pro.

You never installed a GPS receiver to the blue fakra connector so how is the map function working? Im guessing you had to remove again and do this later.

This head unit supports the fender system on the Passat, given I have to re code it to work on the standard speaker system on the Jetta. I would say yes if I upgraded my speakers as well, it would definitely sounds better.

The code was provided to me by the previous owner. I believe he got it from a paid website which unfortunately I didn’t know,

I don’t know as dab feed is not available in Canada if I am not mistaken.

Models that end in ‘686’ followed by a letter are all DAB compatible as far as I know.

You your video was USEELESS ....not once did my OBDeleven2 Pro displayed the RNS 510 I needed to activate my I have have spent $300 on your videos and still no radio.....The ODBeleven2 doesn't recognize a 2014 VW Jetta SEL....what is a NAR Jetta???

Spending money is your choice, if you have no idea what you are doing, maybe you shouldn't ;). NAR = North American Region

You have to get your new radio serial number to get a code to unlock it. Usually when you buy them new they should come with code. If you get it used out of a junkyard then you need to call VW and get the code.. or you use a online site to enter the serial and they get the code.
