Today we take a second look at an MK6 Jetta owned by @mk6.jetta via Instagram. This Mk6 Jetta was just upgraded to APR Stage 2 from Stage 1. We will review whats under the hood as well as various other mods on the car. Take a ride with me in the Jetta and stick around for some fun with the Mk7 R.

I have a 2003 new beetle with the APR Stage 1 tune. It makes 215 hp and 247 ft lb from 150 hp and 160 ft lb. such a noticeable difference

Common now. That thing is not pulling like a GTI. According to APR it makes 222 whp and 292 wtq on 93 octane. MK7 GTI stage 2 makes 319 whp and 390 wtq on 93 octane. He can upgrade to a IS20 turbo from the GTI but idk how well that dry clutch is gonna hold up.

Mk7 Black-and-Red was referring to my GTI on the Jb1 tune. Not a stage 2 equivalent. Also referring to how the boost comes on and torque pattern is.

check your oil. my epc light was coming on around 80mph 4k rpm. turned out my oil was low, due to a clogged pcv valve causing oil burn.

My mk6 power steering pump is leaking badly has anyone had this problem? I just bought it...3weeks ago and it only has 35k miles on it I’m hella confused I don’t want to take it in if I can do a quick fix in my garage

Tae Williams if the pump itself is leaking then it's a defective pump and should be able to be swapped out at whatever part supplier you used. If its leaking from any hoses then they can be replaced. You can't really get away with ghetto fixing anything power steering related because they are high pressure lines...if a metal line chaffed or broke you can technically cut the metal line and run high pressure hose with clamps but you'll most likely be double clamping and even then most likely will still see a leak.

A muffler most likely is not going to give you turbo noise. A cat less downpipe will give you turbo noise and to take it a step further get an intake. This will make your turbo spoil a lot louder

@@landonmiller245 He asked specifically about the sound in this video. Not how to increase spool volume. Its directly the muffler. Its literally designed to create a whirling sound by the "twist" design... Ive also heard this jetta before and after JUST the muffler install and the very unique sound only came after.

Jeez, Reviving this old comment to say... MOST OF THAT EXHAUST WHISTLE IS INDEED FROM THE CATLESS DOWNPIPE. You may now think it was solely the twister muffler after being misled. I'd guess that AFTER the downpipe was installed the stock resonator and the stock muffler were deleted and they added a twister muffler. (probably in the stock resonator location since its not visible in stock muffler location @1:06) This may have made the whistle more audible but was not the first or the most potent "whistle related" modification. So to answer the guys Q, you start with an aftermarket downpipe to get the noise, any further modification between the DP and exhaust tip will amplify it, sure. TL;DR A twister muffler does NOT = turbo noises if the turbo noises can never reach the twister muffler.

I have the exact same car, 17 Jetta 1.8TSI Sport with the Tipronic Apr Stage 1. How durable has the transmission been and how many miles has he been stage 1 and 2?

GPMAX01 He hasnt had any transmission issues that he has told me about yet. Stage 2 for around 5 months now since being Stage 1 for about a year prior. Car has also been moving the added weight of newly installed bags for about a month now.

Need downpipe and intake atleast. Not sure on total costs tbh. But i would expect atleast 1500 ish after acquiring parts and tune and thats more if you install downpipe and intake yourself.

But i believe they do combo deals if you do the entire apr package at once. I prefer to peice together my mods based on best performance rather than brand loyalty

Zem45 the lip he had in this was an ebay EZ-Lip. Since this he was able to find a company that finally developed an actual splitter for this model jetta.

It was an ez lip from Ebay. He has since acquired an actual splitter designed for the car. I believe he had to go to a foreign based company to find a splitter made for this model

Jay winter steelies... Dirty car.. Its expected to look like shit. Its now fresh bagged on new AG wheels with an imported front splitter and no hood bra. Literally no reason to hate lol the only thing that holds this car back is the automatic tiptronic transmission. Its actually quite quick for what it is and has done.
