I personally would have wrapped a silver golf in that chrome because the car has parking sensors and they can't be covered up so if a silver car had been used they wouldn't stand out as much as the black sensors on that car, still looks good though.

What is the longevity of such process? can the car be washed and cleaned normally? like car washes etc? and are they bubbling or tear with time?

Doubt it. This is not your ordinary box sticker. These are vinyls with really really strong adhesive, my local detail shop does it. I've seen it lasts decades but would come off on the edges which is why they use heat to soften the glue so that it would stick on the surface firmly. I want to do something like this too for my bike but its gonna cost you bit more money than you think.
