any HP Torque grow ?

patmacfpv_POL Looks like there will be. It feels like it is, and the SCC car has been on a Dyno and it made 264bhp with the intercooler fitted.

How’s the car holding up? I’ve heard about them getting oil leaks. I haven’t heard of any head gasket issues or any piston issues yet.

@@Drowniik Where's this coming from? 😂. I've had mine a year n a half n not experienced it, been to the Nurburgring and back with two hard laps, plus countless hard driven miles, also had a 1l EcoBoost before that for the same ammount of time, no oil leaks. Every mk8 st owner I know (easily 15+) haven't had issues with them so must be pretty rare man.

Does the larger intercooler affect your radiator behind with daily driving?

I've not noticed anything so far! Coolant temps remain as they were.

Nice video again. 👍 Is there any bhp gains in doing this? Also But what's with the gold on your wheels. 🙈😉
@JBCTR5 жыл бұрын
ADY J What’s wrong with the gold? 😛 Bum Dyno says there are gains. Not had it on a Dyno though.

Excellent video mate. How is the cooler on day to day driving? On my MK8 ST I'm currently running Revo stage one, Milltek exhaust, Milltek resonated GPF delete and Airtec induction kit. A cooler is next on my list ready for stage 2 (if it's ever released)
@JBCTR5 жыл бұрын
It's great. It doesn't interfere at all with daily driving, but when you are on the power it holds the power right through the rev range. It feels a little quicker too, so I need to get it on a dyno :)
@michaelhodgson38334 жыл бұрын
@@JBCTR Hi, I'm glad m/g/rider asked about this, to add to what you've both said, does this larger intercooler make the coolant run hotter by reducing airflow ?, which would be handy in winter, lol. ( not so good on the usual three days of sun !!)
@JBCTR4 жыл бұрын
Michael Hodgson not that I’ve noticed! I don’t believe the cooler will reduce airflow to the engine tbh.

Does the cooler affect the mpg? Dumb question, I know!
@baldrick6505 жыл бұрын
What exactly are the benefits of doing this?
@JBCTR5 жыл бұрын
baldrick650 Lower intake temps = denser air = more oxygen = bigger bang = more power. At least that’s the theory! Bum dyno says theory is correct, but I’ve not had it on an actual Dyno. Also necessary for ‘stage 2’ if and when it comes 😬
