Biology teacher here: The wrist band is measuring the change in electrical current running through your muscles/moto neurons, as the name says Electromyographie. Not your tendons, They don't carry any charge. Otherwise: solid video! :D
@marioalday596621 күн бұрын
Not to count EMG captures the data by inserting a couple of fine copper needles about 6mm deep into your muscles (that means the needles need to traverse all skin layers to reach the muscle). Ouch! And to get a reasonable map you need to use at least data from 12 points from each limb. It is a modern torture technique called EMG.

This would make driving much safer, assuming that the visuals are predictable and not intrusive. Any time you need to take your eyes off the road to look at your GPS or dash is a significant increase in risk. Imagine seeing an arrow hovering over the exact spot you are supposed to turn, or having a line overlaid on the road that shows exactly where you should go. Cars could start transmitting ECU data over Bluetooth for these kinds of devices so you could see things like speed, fuel/charge, and alerts etc so you would never need to take your eyes off the road. Of course all this only makes sense if self driving cars haven't become totally prevalent by then. Either way, the future is looking pretty neat.

Getting to be in the room with your loved ones/friends when you don't have the money/time for long term travel will be great. If you've ever used VRChat or similar apps, you already know how powerful it can be. In 20 minutes, you forget you're all a bunch of cartoon characters and it feels like you're talking to real people, because you are! With AR tech, that'll be 10x better, where you share a real space like your own house and your friends/ family can walk around with you, hang out together, play board games, watch movies, even make dinner together so that by the end you're eating the same thing because you made it by watching each other! sicker would be coding in 3d i've seen some basic attempts to bring coding to vr, but nothing that truly brings and distills the absolute amount of information that a 3d view of source code could provide. the productivity savings that ai brings, that could be easily compounded by an even bigger time savings with some 3d representation of code built on top of deep code analysis. edit: btw i've done years of software dev, including at one of the biggest tech companies in the world and on a product that, if it went down globally, would cost the world billions per hour and possibly countless lives as well. about the only thing we couldn't be used for is the most safety-critical systems like 911, but we were used by many isps and even major broadcasters for mission-critical signaling.
