drummerdude I have the s6 edge and I get a day and a half sometimes two days from a single charge and when I went camping I popped it in ultra mode while not playing games and got a little over 4 days from a single charge, this on top of the fact it only takes just over an hour to fully charge means it has extremely good battery performance.

+Dada maybe in one of those useless benchmarks which never give an accurate representation of actually real world usage. from all the reviews I've read online, friends who own the phones, staff who own the phones in phone shops and users online in forums (people who actually use the phones day to day), 90% of them complain that the battery life on the s6 and edge is not good at all and that the G4 is better. it doesn't matter to me anyway, I was looking at both phones originally hence the research. decided not to go with either in the end.

***** There are other great options with really good 4k quality and much longer recording time while keeping a small size. You could either get the panasonic lx100 that can do 15 minutes, or the samsung nx500 that can do 25 minutes.

***** you could have all those specs and the IPhone still manages to compete with Android. Apple has GREAT app support, and their UI is extremely optimized. It's not very common to see an IPhone lag. And IMO 4k on phone cameras are close to useless. Most people don't even have a monitor that supports 4k. And the quality isn't no where near as good as a basic 4k camera.

I love Samsung just because they keep the menu buttons on the phone itself, so you don't have them crowding the screen. It's always been a no brainer to get the Note with that and the removable battery + microsd. Now there's a little less to love about Samsung. I'm not even mad about the removable battery. I'm more mad that I can't easily replace the back cover when it gets scratched. Now I have to worry about setting it down on a table.

By the way you can do the screen write thing on the Note 4 as well. Just go into Settings and enable it. Then if you remove the pen, the quick memo pops up. Use it all the time.

The Galaxy S5 sales slumped as the new iphone came out and Samsung probably thought they needed to change to try get those skinny jeans wearing people back. ***** It's pretty good. Yeah, the new moto G is nice and snappy, and it's only running a snapdragon 400 series. I was just saying the Exynos7420 is the undisputed king of SOCs at the moment. It's by far the fastest, most efficient (of the fast SOCs anyway), and doesn't get too hot and throttle like the 810.

Removable stuff messes with the efficiency of the component layout making the phone thicker/more bulky. Samsung probably decided to go for non-removable battery to combat the iPhone thinness and so it could feel more "premium".

+fer557 Sorry... but only N4 can go into combat with iPhone. iOS is much better system than android (smaller fragmentation, better control over system) and to combat with iPhone you should have BETTER specifications/features in hardware. Nowe N5 is more close to iPhone with hardware but still worse operating system - that is why it was REALLY bad move if Samsung. ArcziKuz It's better if you just casually use your phone for texting and a bit of social media. It doesn't lag, gets the simple job done and looks good while doing it. Other than that iOS is ridiculously limited and restrictive for someone who uses his/her phone for more than stuff I mentioned before. Android over iOS any day for me.

Guys I need help. It's a hard choice. Lg G4 or galaxy note 5. I plan on using a phone for business, and I have to write a lot down, PDFs files and word documents on the go. business phone? no brainer. the one with the removable battery. An ultra high resolution display and 4G LTE for a heavy user requires more than a full discharge of a 3,000 mAh battery in a day. with a slim extra battery in your laptop bag or breast pocket you literally never have to worry about running out of juice. I own 6 or 7 batteries and each is numbered and i use them in ascending order so I never forget which one is charged. at the end of the day the spent battery goes on the wall charger, I pop in a new one. done. I'll take an extra one with me before I leave the house. these batteries by caselogy or Anker cost like $25 for a 2 pack with wall charger on Amazon. I like the caselogy wall charger better. I will never go back to plugging in a damn cell phone. it's like owning a dog you have to walk every day.

as far as camera. the LG G4 Pro will have the best camera on the market unless the IPhone 6S comes out with something crazy. Samsung have the nicest displays no contest but not nice enough to downgrade to a non removable battery. I've been using the S pen for two years now and honestly I use it everyday but only to crop pictures when I take screen shots. I just never got into handwriting since I have such a big keyboard. and most phablets don't use a pen so it's not a must have. nice if they have it but I wouldn't go for it if it meant losing SD card and removable battery. the new wave of SD cards will have off the charts storage capacity I won't pass that up. Ironically Samsung make Excellent SD cards unlike SanDisk I've not had a Samsung SD card fail on me. their micro SD card Pro for moview watching has been a life saver where my 4G LTE coverage has been poor. I back up all my pics there too. And these cards are so cheap now. taking away removable battery and SD card is just a racket to charge more money what is cheap storage and battery capacity. Apple made a killing fleecing their customers on 64gb iphones now Samsung wants to do the same because their profits are getting eaten by a sea of Android competition. whereas apple have their customers chained to songle phone indefinitely. Its good decision for Samsung but its going to cost them all their heavy users jumping to LG or Oppo.

Note 5. Very smooth multitasking. No joke. It's as fast as the iOS interface. And you don't believe me? I've been complaining about Samsung's lag ever since I got the S3-Note 4. The Note 5 is super smooth.

Horrendous times. the lag was unbearable, then i switched to a lgg3, still a bit laggy at times. but im going to trade in this phone and get myself a note 6 or somewhere along the lines. From what I heard the new version of touchwizz is way better and lighter than its predecessor. However, if you are ok with the fact that the note 5 will not have a removable battery and with no sd card slot, then I would say go for it. Other than that, the LG G4 is the way to go.

Infinite LG's skin is way worse and ugly looking. Anyways LG just copies Samsung's skin and makes it worse. LG's UI is by far the ugliest skin no Android. Also LG is notorious for taking years to upgrade the software on their flagships. The Specs on the Note 5 beat the G4 in every single category. In fact, I'm happy they did not include an SD card slot because SD cards just make phones run slow and lag. I'd rather have UFS 2 (super fast ram) than an SD card that I or 95% of consumers don't use.

Nice vid man. Hesitant yet optimistic sounds about rite. I have a bigger battery in my Note 2 lol. I know the chip will allow it to be more officiant so I will wait for the full review. Everything else I can deal with. Gonna be a toss up to upgrade to the 4 or 5. Most likely go with the 5 in Black or titanium with that bumper with metal accents Sammy was talking about.

That Note has taken away every reason to get a Note. So much functionality lost, no IR Blaster, no removable battery, no SD Card, not even a 128GB version to make up for lack of SD Card and even a smaller battery. Andrew Kim the problem is, as others have mentioned, connectivity is not always available, servers sometimes crash, not everybody has unlimited data traffic by their provider. Plus, even if the battery lasts longer, it can never charge as fast as I can swap it with an extra, already charged battery.

Seems they have a lot of confidence in their OS. How will you do a hard shut down of the Note 5 if you can't take out the battery to let things discharge or whatever? How many GB internal storage? I have 32G and a 64G card and am starting to fill it up with pix and music only after almost a year.
