Samsung just want to create the illusion of “caring for the customer” which is no doubt true to an extent, but it’s a business at the end of the day, and their marketing teams saw the backlash Apple received after removing the headphone jack, and seized the opportunity to entice those consumers and verify in their minds that Apple are at fault in doing so. That’s the marketing teams job, to win over consumers and capitalise on backlash. The aim of the game.
