Not really. Had Onaga not returned, Quan Chi and Shang Tsung would've taken over everything. Remember that Shao was killed off in MK3, which led to Shang Tsung going to hide in the Netherrealm, and Shinnok was killed off in MK4 and after his death, Scorpion found out about Quan Chi's involvement in his clan's demise so Scorpion chased him to the Netherrealm, where he met Shang Tsung, who helped him to escape from Scorpion. And after that, in Deadly Alliance, they joined forces to basically rule everything so firstly, got rid of Liu Kang and most of the Earthrealm warriors and after that, they rocked Raiden and then they turned against each other moments before Onaga pulled up and Raiden, with his psycho self, joined forces with them to stop Onaga but then he realized that they can't beat him so Raiden used some ability that ended up killed himself, Shang Tsung and Quan Chi, which means that Onaga would've had no one to stand against him. I'm guessing that Shujinko's involvement was fate at work.

Why feel disgust he's been like that for years now bi han can never change noob saibot was just a vast improvement on him 😢 Truly he's a lost cause liu kang should have finished him when he had the chance. Now bi han would build more strength now with the help of sector. What baffled me is that titan havik was put out like a nobody he didn't put up a fight tho MK1 ending was a bummer, even the likes of homelander and omniman was not even mentioned I expected atleast some foreign interference to spice things up but it just ended like it's a new game. I hate the fact that noob saibot would be the next major antagonist in the next MK game plan

Bi-Han has always been that way though, that’s just his character. The only time he was ever really in the right and did no wrong was when he was blamed for the death of Hanzo’s family & clan when it was really Quan-Chi’s fault. As for Liu Kang. Being a God he can foresee events and reset history sure. At best he can give someone a chance and opportunity to change, he can’t make someone change their character though. Shang Tsung will always be Shang Tsung. Shao will always do what Shao does, and Bi-Han will always be Bi-Han.

Ok I have to say Havik's plan is really stupid. They kidnap Geras cause Havik says since Geras existed in all of the previous timelines the time crystals contained within him hold the blueprints for creating all the current timelines and by fusing his Kamidogu with them he can reshape all timelines in his image. So then... why don't you just use your own Geras...? Is yours broken somehow...? Or when you reset your own timeline did you reset literally EVERYTHING in it too...?

Bro. He needs his Geras. In fact it's a genius plan! Did u see all the dead Gerases when Bi-Han was brought in to the foundary? If Titan Havik uses his Geras to extract the time crystals off him. Who's gonna be his servant in looking after or let's say supporting his timeline. Every Titan just like Kronika from MK11 and other Titans in MK1 needed their Geras. In fact he has already absorbed alot of time crystals from the Gerases he encountered from multiple timelines during the merging.

I like to think that the reason is because Liu Kang’s Geras is actually the original Geras from the timeline where Liu Kang along with the other Titans first gained their power which also means he is the one that directly served Kronika in all previous timelines that came before that. All other Geras in other timelines do have similar powers but don’t have the same “radiocarbon footprint” as the one in Liu Kang’s timeline, they are not as powerful. Liu Kang has always been in someway the protagonist of the MK universe so it makes sense that his timeline would have something that unique, just a theory.

I'm actually visually impressed with the blood red and green aesthetic of Titan Havik's realm; especially with the almost-CRT screens and such monitoring the protagonists like a horror movie! I wish we got to fight more ridiculous Armageddon character-mashups though from the base game story though. ....Ooh, can we get a story follow-up in a year or two called Order Rises or such where we have to fight a bunch of construct-Kombatants led by an asshole Titan Hotaru obsessed with spreading totalitarianism across all timelines by bonding them to Seido? He could be motivated by a disgust for flesh, seeing it as a conduit for Chaos and seek to control all timelines by making everyone and everything artifice like Geras to be attuned to some sense of perfect Order only he is aware of and understands. Onaga can capitalize on this by manipulating Hotaru and swat him aside once he outlives his usefulness to become a Titan Dragon Emperor or such. That'd be a neat (though expected) flip of the status quo!

Im a huge MK fan have been since I was a child and am happy everytime we get something new that is story related but that was very underwhelming to say the least, extremely poorly written and felt rushed, it really added nothing. I really do hope somehow they realize this and have a follow-up that is better.

Story opinions: 1. How was Titan Havik totally defeated/destroyed or what happens to him after? We saw how Titan Shang Tsung was destroyed. Simply ripping Titan Havik's limbs wont stop him given his regeneration abilities. Although Liu Kang cant simply kill Havik cause it will also cause his timeline to disappear and kill innocents. 2. What happened to Empress Tanya and Soldier Cage after the final battle? 3. Are Shao and Reiko coming back in the next DLC with Onaga? and 4. WHERE IS MY SONYA BLADE?

Well, that was crap and felt rushed. Titan Havik was also a wasted potential. The only memorable characters there are Lt. Col. Jonathan Cage and Emperor Rain. The rest are unremarkable, boring and contrived. Scorpion was nerfed. Bi Han/Noob is still stubborn. The expansion story is way too short

Indeed. I would expect more chaos from the game. Tbh, MK11 aftermath is still way better, it has unpredicted storyline but still didn't leave a plothole. This is just way too flat. Wasting so much time in the maze, playing as unrelated player against unnecessary enemies.

Unpopular opinion, but I don't think this was worth 60 dollars, I'd say max 40. This story felt so rushed. Now I didn't expect anything more or less, seeing as how this game doesn't want it's story to carry it anyway, but for 6 new characters and a sub-par story, $60 is wild for DLC.

Strangely, my deceased Friend theorized using online canon data , and found out that an few Mortal Kombat NPCS of Legend are descended unknowingly from ATLA ( Nickelodeon anime) benders without even knowing it ( an few Names of classic MK lore of this possible blood ancestry unknowingly included: -Liu Kang ( prior to MK 11 ending ( fire) -Shang Tsung (Fire) -Sub-zero ( water ) -rain ( higher likelihood) -Frost ( water -highly likely) -smoke ( rare type of Fire bending known as smoke-bending) So technically he theorized that these cases are of Mixed blood ancestry where clues indicate past interactions with those cultures ( where one theory said they were descended from individuals tossed through dimensional portals only to end up having spread those cultures blood traits over millennia of time and blood, but in any case it’s an interesting hypothesis to note about here!?

Well@@MitchellNunes he is indeed difficult to be taken down. If your talking about the final battle. He is a true Boss for the ending. He has over 1500HP which is his maximum. He takes less damage from Fatal Blows so it will be alot of dodging and blocking to survive him

When Bi-Han defeated Havik, he pulled out all of his limbs and head that way he is forcing Havik to use all of his regen powers until he ran out.. I think you don't understand the ending there but as of the ending you are talking about after Bi-Han wasted Havik's power. I bet he got sent into the Void by Liu Kang. We didn't see it, you are right, but it might happen

What's interesting is that when Bi-han recovers from Havik's magic, it reminded me of #9 when Kuai Liang was Sub-zero. Only cyberized in a cyber link kuei member from male Curax and male Sektor. "Sub-zero." Y... yes Smoke." "How do you feel?" "I remember. The things that I have for Shao Kahn."

I admit, in each Mortal Kombat game / expansion, I'm looking more after the movie like story mode they made rather than the game itself. Cashgrab or not, at least they really have silly fun making those.
