Gluto is too clutch On another note, I really hope in the future Dom does commentary. He is extremely good at it. Doesn't stutter/say uhm constantly, talks about the technical aspects of each set, and works well with his fellow casters.

Man, I don't know what it is with Gluto always having the most epic and suspenseful sets, but I love it, whether he wins or loses. Just this Summit he already had 4 sets (against Tweek, Spargo, Anathema and then Leo here) that were game 5/last stock/last hit, insane. You can hate Wario/waft, but fact is that every Gluto set for the past year or so has been an absolute banger.

Yeah but the gauntlet is an unnecessary added layer to Summit so that players who perform poorly day one aren’t affected too much by it. I’m honestly not a fan of the summit format with the gauntlet. I’d rather they make it a two day event with no gauntlet or just thoroughly seed players through pools and don’t start anybody on the loser’s side. It’s such an odd format and there have always been very weird bracket matchups because of it.

I feel like I’m missing one but this is pretty impressive considering he mained Byleth for only 9-10 months (He pretty much stopped using Byleth entirely after double down.) More or less everyone talked about this in the comment section of this video. I'm not sure if I agree or not. I mean, it is factual that MKLeo has been placing lower than usual since he started to main the Aegis, but in theory, the characters are good for him. I think the problems here are people knowing the Aegis matchup, the Aegis recoveries being exploitable, and well last match of this set, Leo landed badly on Gluto, who then clutched with a waft. As a swordies and Aegis player myself, sometimes, Mythra's lack of range compared to most other swordies and the change of pace when I go Pyra bothers me. Maybe Leo feels something similar

@@spicymeatballs2thespicening Moves not as safe as they look, low overall damages unless you get your combos and stay in advantage state, low kill power, lesser good trading abilities than other swordies. Solo Mythra is great, but not top 5 great. Pyra is the icing on the cake for her because she can do what Mythra has trouble to do a lot better (getting stocks), but Pyra herself is exploitable. Her neutral is far worse than Mythra's. It's like, you can destroy your opponent with Mythra in neutral until they are at kill percent, but then you need to get the kill so you more often than not have to switch to Pyra, except now it's the opponent who can destroy you. And if you get hurt a lot with Mythra, it should spell troubles for you. I'd rather play Lucina or Fox than solo Mythra. As an Aegis player, both your Pyra and your Mythra need to be crisp. It's also nice and all to dominate opponents in neutral, but they can just put you off stage and get the lead back sometimes

Then Leo loses to Riddles and has to go to gauntlet, and Gluto reverse 3-0's him in the gauntlet sending him to losers of the final bracket when Leo literally was up *2-0* and even if he would have won he wouldn't have even fought acola first round in Winner's. There is no way on *Earth* that we are seeing Leo play acola.

It's easy to say that he should have swapped if we see a loss, but objectively speaking aegis is a great character and he plays well with them, he's just fighting someone who knows the match up and specifically his playstyle extremely well. There's no guarantee the byleth or joker would have won it, but it's easy to think they would have simply due to past successes, but that overlooks considering that both players and the meta evolves.

I’m seeing a lot people saying Aegis isn’t that great for what happened here and the last times. But I think is a Top 4 character still. Everyone is just ignoring the fact Leo landed so bad in the last stock, and calling aegis bad for that. Could be just that aegis doesn’t fit with Leo at all. But calling overrated a character just for losing for a Human mistake it’s just ridiculous

Nah. I think the consensus is that Aegis is def broken and probably has the best advantage state in the game. We just think the character doesnt seem to fit Leo that well. They hold him back for some reason.

Leo using sling shot lost him the set tbh. All he had to do was wait in shield and use pyra up-b for an easy kill. Instead, he's jumping around spamming the same options. Really uncharacteristic. I wanna see him rely on his fundamentals and react more. That is when he is at his strongest. Not when he's auto piloting. Granted, he can auto pilot through 98% of the PGR, but still. His usage of mythra up-b was amazing. He just needs to use pyra's too. It's also busted. OR, he can just play a character that isn't boring and easy to edge guard :)

I think Mkleo's Pyra only lost to Glutonny(twice) and Riddles in his competitive runs. He ain't done yet with Pyra. He's not bringing out Byleth unless it's a different matchup but Mkleo is serious and trying to win the tournament by bring out the Pyra
