It's nice to see older cars on the road today, as they say "they don't make em like they used to"

I just bought 2 ford explorers 1 is a 1991 ford explorer 2 wheel drive all manual with a 5 speed bought another one that is 1994 4.0 full power with a 5 speed 4X4 found a 1994 ford explorer sport 4X4 5 speed 4.0 full power. I like these cus there so easy to work on and if I have a problem with one I can use the parts from on to fix the other or to find out what might be the problem. I hope to keep buying a few spares for parts. The 4.0 in these years have fewer problems than the newer ones. Reasons My 1990--94 do not have EGR valves and no Plastic intakes. Plus there OBD1 Its an easy system to work with

The Ranger (most of them at least) was manufactured at the Twin Cities plant back then.

Why can't SUVs today be made made like this ,the power of engine was made for climbing dunes really quickly,but the power is not for roads ,after all this is an off-road vehicle,not a track car ,so racing dynamics for SUVs is useless!

Ugh the twin I beam suspension. It was terrible.. Especially on the Explorer Sport due to it's smaller length. Damn truck would beat the piss out of you
@lowellfunk8974 Жыл бұрын
I've got almost 500,000 kms on mine and feel that it is a good solid suspension. It makes a huge difference what shocks you have as to whether you get beat up or not. Mine is a daily driver all year round and off road. Works quite well for lots of things, but isn't necessarily the best at any one thing.
