@@Z64sports It's possible in real football, but you're not running the ball for realsies. Even in Tecmo, it's not a great choice. But it's computer controlled, so I feel most of the time their play calls are random.

@@Tampafan33 It's the nature of CPU vs CPU Tecmo. There can also be wide open receivers 40 yards deep and they'll pass to a double covered RB 2 yards away. It's all RNG. Replay it a few times and you'll get the same result going the other way.

They used the week 1 AI. You don't see that kind of pass coverage late in the year. You're lucky to have anyone open. The computer run plays are scary AF too at the end of the year. If the Lions computer had 8 run plays to Barry Sanders you'd never beat them after week 10. He only had two runs. You'd call one and every time they called the other one it was a touchdown. That was week 1 AI all the way around.

Well watching this video takes me back to the early 90's playing Tecmo Super Bowl on the Nintendo Entertainment System against my older brother. There needs to be a more modern Tecmo Bowl where you can actually see the teams logo on the helmets and Jersey also the team's names logo on midfields and endzones. More realistic graphics to fit modern times but authentic simplistic 2D gameplay of old. Add legend NFL teams with updated teams. The game will guarantee to be a hit. Have Konami or Nintendo to make the game it will be a hit.
