MKX - How to use Liu Kang Flame Fist Post Patch Tutorial

It has been one my most requested video and with Liu Kang being one of the staple characters in Mortal Kombat X and with my most viewed video being my liu Kang combo video it was definitely something i had to do. I apologize for taking so long to get it out but if you want to learn how to use Liu Kang Flame Fist check this video out.

It sucks that Liu Kang don't have any combo starters that attacks with a low all u can do is F+44 into bicycle kick or 113 (which is easily blocked)

G Ace That's the thing. Liu kang is all about applying pressure. He has really fast normals and good strings to apply pressure to make up for it. It wouldn't be fair to give liu kang lots of overhead low mix ups. Keep up the Shaolin pressure mate.

Please do some tutorials for this character. I've actually been getting decent from watching multiple videos but no one really has a REAL tutorial to master this character since no one really uses him as main.

lol I know my comment is late, but I main liu kang and 2 bars of meter isnt necessary for 50% damage. It can be done with 1 bar w/ a starting low and his 112. not to mention no meter combos in the corner can be done with dd1 and canceling into whirlwhind punch (which does take quite a bit of practice) For instance, f44 fbf4 dd1 fbf4 bf1 is 34% and leaves them standing, and sets you up for another combo if they guess wrong. if you have any questions feel free to message me.

I main erron black and can pull of pritty much every combo i know on him so i was looking for new character and got interested on liu kan. after i watched ur previous video from couple months back i got rly interested on his dmg and combos. but after i watched this video u seemed to be pretty dissapointed on him niw so i ding know anymore. tell me is he worth learning and mastering anymore? if not what new char would u recommend :)

after the bicycle punch things you could still finish the combo with a low fire ball and it makes it a 32% i think

Well his damage was crazy but the thing is spending a bar does seem fair the fact he has a parry really make him harder to anti air don't know if people were abusing this or still are but with the damage increase it was probably insane didn't play to many but enough to know he was really hard to beat combined with the chip would make you lose like 30 percent health alone just by getting hit by a block string plus the increase in projectiles I think is really good since the standing high anti airs then the variation comes with anti airs strings and the strings give you enough time to get a safe flame fist this is what I use to do before the buff with that since he doesn't have to many launchers plus the strings are safe and good damage and if people were using these tactics plus the buff yeah I know it was rough fighting him but I thought he was top character before they took away the recovery he's still really good tho

I know this is old but I just cancel shaolin flame into windmill punch during a combo or cancel into low fireball when I'm far away from the opponent. Doing the former is hard though.
