It is better to listen this recording 10 times than to see to todays gymnastic, posing bharatnatyam dancers. Todays dance is measured on how long jathis are, how fast paced is nritta, how over dramatic one can be and also giving loud expressions. Can’t blame …every dancer became like that and these so called dancers teaching next generation how to do bharatanatyam. Even critics don’t know how to critique the dance. Quality of dancing is degraded today.

Fate is cruel. Both MLV 7:28 Amma and her daughter Srividhya passed away at an early age. Colossal loss to Carnatic music, Bharathanatyam and cinema.

My father Sri.Trivellore Subramaniam accompanied her as a "Violinist" for more than 20 years from the year 1954 to 1974.He has travelled abroad to Ceylon(Now Srilanka) a Malaysia and Singapore.He has accompanied with MLV all over India in many Sabhas and also in Thiruvaiyaru Thyagabramha Aradhanai festu aks And also in the December season in the Madras Sangeetha Sabhas.But no recognition to my father Sri Trivellore Subramaniam by State Govt or Central Government.Even this VAAK FOUNDATION IS uploading the programmes without giving single pie to heirs of my dad Late Shri.Trivellore Subramaniam Violinist. Please consider give Royalty to the heirs or legal heirs of Trivellore Subramaniam.We are 4 sons and 3 daughter's for him.please consider sir

do you know what dance is? do you know what bharathanatyam is? it’s expressing one’s emotions, devotion and feelings through expression and dance. As for jatthis they are decided by the composer, they have nothing to do with the dancer choosing it , as for the nritta it is decided again by the song which is composed NOT by the dancer but by the COMPOSER. so before you come comment on videos dissing current day dancers how about you go educate yourself on why things are the way they are 😊
