Turn on Ult Confirmation. It allows you to select a target which doesn’t cancel if you lose line of sight. Helps you reposition a little or wait to jump someone with a transformation. Best to use after lamp so your teamates aren’t struggling too much without you.

@@yukii381 ult confirmation is a life saver. Turned it on the very first day. The amount of times youd accidentally copy a teammate that ran in front of you was insane. You’re genuinely throwing if you mess up his ult, so definitely recommend turning it on.

@@MarceloSilva-ig8yn yeah some of the maps have special animations for the rebuilding of destroyed environments. Asgard is Loki’s magik, Tokyo 2099 is reassembled with spider webs. Think they’re the only 2 at the moment, but hopefully they add more in future maps, it’s a really cool detail, and they can get creative with it.

quick tip as a loki main myself (if it wasnt obvious) - you can put clones in more places than you think! sometimes i like to put them really high up so they can see most of the field and i can get my healing and damage output well. if you try and find spots to put clones before the fight starts or mid fight you would be suprised by how much places you can put them! use that, it can be a game changer sometimes as it can be out of los of the enemy and they wont be able to destroy it, so you can just have that extra healing output on your teammates. also try putting them in foliage or bushes, theres some maps that actually let you put loki clones in the bushes and they are almost completely invisible, the only thing you can see is the staff poking out the bush but no ones really going to be looking for that mid fight. another tip - i like to use my invis mid fight sometimes not to escape but to create an extra clone if both of mine are on cooldown. it can be really helpful! all this coming from a diamond loki main, got there solo

here's a tip that I don't see people using. When you change into the other opponent as loki. Most people instantly starts supermove they got from the opponent. Now for the most part, this is fine. But transformation supermoves will increase the shapeshift timer. For example. When you copy Captain America, you can spend time as him first. And when the timer almost runs out, do his supermove. The timer is increased by fourteen seconds. If it's a normal supermove like a blast or a melee move. It were increases by seven seconds. So basically when you change into the opponent. Do some stuff as the opponent first. Then use the supermove. I hope this is useful. P s the best one to take for this is iron fists. Because he's good in his base form. And in his supermove. It's like thirty seconds of destruction. Something to keep note though. Is if you all someone else means you're not loki. Which means you're not healing unless you copy a healer

@saucemaster6452 that really only applies in low elo. You don't need a healer if everyone on the enemy team is dead, so it's a case by case. If you think you can get quite a few kills with a good ultimate move. Oh even stalling for a point. You have to realize that loki is not the main healer he's an off Healer, and you always have two healers in high elo. So, while Luna snow is healing, everybody. You are bucky, doing again and again and again... because each again increases the timer of loki shapeshift. getting a team wipe or at least enough damage for a team wipe. It's a case-by-case basis. Sometimes copying a lunar snow and let her do her ultimate than yours after. Loki is a very creative hero. He's only good if you are creative. If not obviously a luna snow or an adam warlock would be more consistent. But Loki has big playmaking potential. And you always have the element of surprise, because you have the opponent's name before you attack as the opponent. You be surprised how useful that is.

This is part of the reason why you need to be good with every character with Loki. What is the point of playing as that character for a bit before the ult if you just die right away right? Also another thing is that when you first transform into an enemy, you look friendly on their side AND take the persons name. So if you transform into the enemy Iron man, you take his name and appear friendly. I already had a game where I just copied Iron Man, flew right on top of a Luna, then atom bombed her to oblivion.

​@@saucemaster6452sorta if you can get more value from an offensive ult than you would from healing the trade off is worth it Two punishers in turret can do insane work then doubling up on the ult to extend the duration would be better value than just flat out healing as if you can secure 2+ eliminations minimum it's definitely more worth it than just healing

ML7 you should change your Loki settings to confirm God of Mischief Ult. That way you won’t copy the wrong hero by accident. You can also lock in the hero, get cover for 2-3 seconds and transform 😎. I’m glad you’re mastering Loki, it’s so much fun.

Man, seeing this comment section full of loki insights just makes me wanna get out of bed and play despite my long work hours. I chose to main loki because I had no clue who to play in the beginning. Then the thought popped up. " Why play one hero, when you can play all of them with one". Hence my journey to diamond with Loki started. It was so much fun figuring out the mechanics, getting used to the clone positioning and rune timings. Low elo never break the runes so its always free heals. The amount of ults I countered with his shift skyrocketed once I really got used to it. It always put a smile on my face when the enemy's effort to get their ult just to get countered with a 25 sec normal ability. I was hoping the world would know less about him, but alas we have picked a hero whose force is not to be reckoned with. One tricked loki to GM3 soloq and I gotta say he is very slept on, he’s the perfect anti-dive character and peeler for the other support if no one else is peeling. I usually just hold weird positions to get good angles and protect my supp to save them for later (double mantis, ult double luna ult or copying the enemy supp etc etc) My only issue with him is the fact I’m soloq I feel like he has so much more potential in a team of comms because the angles I usually hold becomes completely ruined when my team overextends/goes away from my main angle to heal and despite copying ults like luna mantis it takes them a bit of time before realizing that I basically allowed them to continue fighting because of lunas ult so they just retreat then run back no matter how much pings I do so I’m practically forced to ult instantly after copying so people can realize that they can still fight instead of retreating (though it would’ve been more valuable to heal as luna snow for a bit THEN ult). And the clone tping just feels somewhat inconsistent imo. His shift is also insanely strong, I’d consider it a pseudo-ult with how much counterplay it holds by itself

Another tip with Loki one problem is if you do your ult sometimes u copy the wrong person you can go to settings and click double confirmation for his ult, that way things like that does not happen

loki is so fun, i only have issues with the clones, placing them is not very responsive sometimes and i wish you could more reliably teleport to one that you just placed rather than one that is right next to you. seems to happen because of the range, so it would be neat if the swap range was a little bit higher so you wouldnt be out of range as soon as you placed a clone while moving backwards.

It does but by the slightest bit. Loki has a HUGE reload time. I'd say about 85-90% needs to be completed before you can "animation cancel" the rest of it. Unlike Jeff. Once he swallows the fish (about 2/3rds of the animations) you can cancel the wait by shooting a bubble or moving underwater. Starlord has a similar one where once his guns glow blue you can immediately dash forward and still have your guns reloaded.

Loki feels really good other than some quality of life stuff, like double confirmation for placing clones feels insanely clunky. They could just streamline it to hold the button to aim and place on release. And also the thing that decides whether or not you the spot is valid is really bad. Like if your crosshair is on a wall it doesn't just let you place the clone next to the wall, so you have to aim directly at the floor and if a character walks over the spot then you also can't place the clone there.

I'm a Loki main, Got Lord and played him in all my ranked matches. (currently plat 3) If you want to learn Loki there's alot of really good advice in this comment section. It's definitely worth viewing the communities inputs. The one tip I can give is that clone placement is vital. Something I tend to do that works effectively is having one clone super aggressive for damage and keeping one behind cover to heal my team. This way I am giving good healing while also doing good damage. Hope this helps!
