Hi dear Tengu, these aluminium flatbars are perfect for a job. Maybe it's not necessary but they allow you to form a nice circular shape. It looks so neat. Thank you for sharing, 73s Ron 👍 📻📶🌈🌺☀️

Hi Dear Ron. Thank you very much. As you say, the bird might be happy to play if I shape it and make a pretty circle. Currently, two large loops are lined up on the veranda, the MLA-30 loop and the copper tube loop.73s Tengu🌈📻🐦○🐦○🐦

Excellent signal with this antenna. I bought the MLA30 +, I am going to replace the original loop with a copper tube one. Congratulations. 73!!

Hello, that's great. I think the performance will be better if you replace it with a copper tube. My MLA -30 is at my parents' house now. I'm going back to my parents' house next month.73s!!

Do you think there would be a problem to use painted binder clips instead of the silver ones? if I use conductive grease ?
@Ken.s_BCL-LogVideo3 жыл бұрын
Hello. If the overlapping area of the flat bars is large, they will be electrostatically combined, so I don't think paint clips will affect them. If the overlapping area is small, it is best to fix it with a screw. I have never used conductive grease. It seems to be effective when used as a transmitting antenna. Thank you for watching.73s!!🌈

Information on the LCD replacement on the radio? Tks
@Ken.s_BCL-LogVideo3 ай бұрын
Hello. I've never replaced a radio's LCD, but LCDs are sensitive to heat, so replacing the backlight from bulbs to LEDs will make them last longer. Thank you for watching.

Bien pensado y realizado. Para que sea más práctico deberías hacer algunas marcas para los diferentes diámetros. Me ha gustado.

@@Ken.s_BCL-LogVideo Automatic dipole... Mr Graham is working on my FRG7700 on his live stream KZbin, Yesterday he repaired the problem (a defective IC) and he has Re-capped the whole radio next show he will do the alignment. I'm excited to get my old girl back. I still need to do some antenna work now I'm home. The flat bar you are using...comes in 2 meter lengths? I'm happy with what I have but I like the idea flat bar is lightweight and looks professional also. I just think I might have a problem bending it into a circle. How did you do yours?

@@MrBrian8749 Hello, dear Brian. I saw a video of surgery on your wonderful receiver.Your friend is a great engineer.It seems that the level is different from an amateur like me.I hope you can leave the hospital safely. The elements of this new flat loop are 2m x 2 = 4m (Max). In short, 1m × 2 = 2m (Min). Up to 125 cm in diameter. The minimum is about 65 centimeters. The material is thin aluminum, so it can be bent easily. so can easily correct the deformation. I am testing by changing the diameter to 110 cm.73s!!🌈

@@Ken.s_BCL-LogVideo Graham does a great job...in fact he has discovered a fault not listed anywhere. The receiver would jump frequency and by pressing the "Memory Recall" button it would resume correct frequency. The fault is a IC which the Memory Recall is connected to. I could not be happier and its interesting watching him work. He is very thorough even check every soldier joint. 73s
Others have done this mod. The larger loop does increase signal strength. It also increases the noise level even more. So no thanks.

Hello. The 90 cm diameter was the best for my shack. The optimum diameter may change depending on the location. I am planning to do a comparative test in a fallow field in the countryside. Thank you for your comment.73s!!
@okjames46583 жыл бұрын
Not a problem if your environment's noise floor is lower than your receiver's noise floor. But yes, noisy environment responds to gain too, and increased broadband signal strength could also create noise / intermod issues with the active amplification if it's overloading it. So it all depends on the environment if improved gain is good or not. Making a blanket statement about gain and noise is an over simplification.

@@okjames4658 Hello. As you say, the relationship between noise and signal is certainly very difficult. Now, there is much more electromagnetic noise from inverters than before. I wish I could cut this noise. Thank you for your message.73s!!🌈📻

Have you tried the bonito fx active loop amplifier.... you can use 80cm loop -high gain, 5m loop -medium gain, and 20m loop -low gain... brilliant amp no IMD interference.

Great creativity and execution. Is it the world's first variable length active loop antenna?
Please confirm there is a relation between the diameter and the sensitivity by receiving the time signal radio wave from Fukushima, in the two states maximum and minimum diameter. Persian, difficult to copy with mouse!
