Hi,good interesting video, well explained, my Acom 1500 amplifier is 8 years old, and on its original tube, round 30 watt's in 400 ++ out,👍 unfortunately I had to replace the transformer 18 months ago ☹, in the long term, I think to much power, is better than to little, 73s from Rotterdam 👍 Reply

How can you tell if someone is pushing more than the legal limit of power when a doubling of power is only a 3db gain (1/2 of an S point). How can you really know if someone is pushing 400w or 800 watts?

Some people maybe wondering why you don't stock Ameritron amplifiers. The truth is that they have reliability problems, which isn't good if you're on the wrong side of the pond... 🙄

Almost the same , SB-200 i bought as a kit and 2 tiny homebrew tube amplifiers (35 to 40 years old). Basic , simple and very easy for any troubleshooting .
