They scored 7 in the first inning, 13 for the game. Tyler’s birthday was 7/13. The last time a no hitter was pitched in California was 7/13/1991, the day Tyler was born

Randy Randerson I think you mean combined no hitter. There was a no hitter in California earlier this season.
@SomebodyPickaName5 жыл бұрын
June 28, 2008 against the Dodgers.....but the Angels lost 1-0. That was a combined no-hitter that I now realize doesn't count as a no-hitter because they didn't pitch the 9th inning, but then Jared Weaver threw a no-hitter in 2002 on his own. You're right though about a combined no-hitter in CA.

As hard as it is when we lose someone, it's always incredible to see the effect it has on the league. In these moments, there aren't 30 teams, just one family. And we all mourn these losses together, as we're reminded how much the spirit of this game really means to us. Or y'know if you're wanting an even sappier cliche, how about: "We lost an Angel, but Heaven gained another." Something like that. Man, I'm gonna miss Tyler.

@sethkohn23795 жыл бұрын
Maybe a coincidence maybe just fate of the Mariners. 4 times they were victim to no hitters. ANGELS pitchers Mark Langston and Mark Witt combined for a no hitter against Seattle in 1990,the Yankees Dwight Gooden did it in 96..why I bring the yanks into it is. Cuz at 14:06 of the video near the end u see a guy in the crowd wearing all yankee merchandise...curse of the Mariners maybe? One might ask. RIP Skaggs enjoy playing up in the real majors
