I was in sitting in RF when Nando threw out Pasquantino. I couldn't see exactly where Tatis was but saw the throw and knew he was out - felt like I was watching it all happen in slow motion yet it was so damn quick. As bad as this season has been, it's been a thrill to watch him gun down runners.

I have been watching baseball for over 60 years, and the footwork on these plays blows my mind. The feet point the way for the arm, and I can't imagine being able to stop a spin at the precise moment the body is pointed at the target.

I still think Corea has one of the strongest arms in the league. Watched him catch a relay ball in between 1st and 2nd then lazer it to 3rd to get an out during a post season game. Was insanely quick.

I play Senior Ball in Tokyo, Japan, the over 60 YO league. I'm the only foreigner out of over 600 guys on 40 teams... we talk about some of the plays in the MLB, especially the Angels because of Ohtani. I get compared to Nootbar (played for Japan) because I still throw very hard and had 5 assists from center in 7 games in the first half of our season. Never played baseball formerly when I was younger but am enjoying it now and love watching these guys gun people down!

I think one of the reasons that I like watching these videos is because I grew up watching Dwight Evans and also because I was blessed with a cannon. Loved Clemente's arm and Ken Griffey Jr. and Bo Jackson was off the charts. As a Rays fan I loved me some Kevin Kiermaier. Tatis and Acuna are spectacular but for my money, give me Ichiro any day. Yes, yes, I know that this is a video about this season's greatest throws but aside from Renfroe and the previously mentioned and that one from third to first at the beginning, none of them overwhelmed me.

If I'm an MLB manager, I'm telling all my players to act like every close tag is a safe call. Stand up and stand on the bag and ask for time. Don't even think about motioning to the dugout. Let the guy getting paid to watch every play in slow motion on behalf of our club be the one who makes the call.

Somehow it seems that sports science is improving swings, speed, and spin rate off the mound. It is not improving outfield arms. These were nice shots, not "cannon arms". See Raul Mondesi, Clemente, Bo, et al. The best arms are in the past.

Why do they cut away from the fielder EVERY SINGLE TIME to show the runner running? A close up of a guy running is not nearly as interesting, informative or entertaining as watching the fielder get into position, catch the ball, set up and throw the ball. Then, they should stay on the ball in flight, because you can see the runner running in that shot. Just because they have so many camera angles doesn’t mean they should try to use them all in every play. Fortunately, most of these highlights have a replay of just one shot of the fielder fielding and throwing the ball, but it would be much better to see it live.
