4:00 2021 shohei broke out with a monster hitting season with 46 homers and good enough pitching 2022 shohei had a regression in hitting but turned into an elite pitcher, 4th in Cy Young 2023 shohei put them both together but only played 130 games. Hopefully in 2025 we see a repeat of 2023 over a full season for his best possible season

Think the best way to portray that “best season” question is to ask if he would still do this if he was pitching. Tbh I don’t think so, cause when he’s on base as a pitcher/DH he wants to minimize injury

i think it's possible we haven't seen the full extent of ohtani's ability. next year will be a real testimate to if he's able to put up near these numbers again while dominating on the mound. if the dodgers can get over their injury cure, we could very well see a dynasty with the star power they have on the lineup and on the rotation. somehow, i think this is still the beginning. also please tell us what that first game at the post season is like, i would love to go, but theres no way i could make it happen

Ohtani last season had a higher slug and ops, but not the stolen bases, and didnt maintain those numbers over the same amount of games. From a pure offensive standpoint, last season is about on par in terms of overall value, but the stolen bases added on with over 50 homers makes this one the best from an offensive standpoint
