Depends on the pitch count and his control. If he's missing spots and threw 40-50, then it's time for a change. But if he's getting homered off down and ins and throwing according to the game plan, maybe a mound visit is in order but not a pitching change.

It takes some time for a pitcher to warm up. The situation doesn't get out of hand until the third batter hits one, so the reliever is still warming up when the fourth is launched.

The Red Sox 4 homers i was in college watching the game in my dorm room and my other friend who was a red sox fan as well was 2 doors down. For every homer that they would hit that night we would get out of our rooms and start dancing in the middle of the hallway! 4 consecutive times! To this day i still believe me and my friends hallway dance ritual was powerful yuyu that contributed to those Home Runs 💪🏽💪🏽
