0:45 so why was the challenge (for us non-Americans that don't know all the detailed baseball rules, but love the game).. does the tag have to be done with the ball in the glove? I thought that was not the case as long as the ball is securely held? It's like tagging someone with their foot (or any other part of their body), when having the baseball securely held?

A tag can only be made with the hand (or glove) that is holding the ball. The fielder can't use any other part of their body to make the tag.
